Paradise Lakes: Steven & Molly, January, 2004
hey hedo nuts!!!
we just returned from paradise lakes in florida.
our last report was filed in 02 & we wanted to
give you a brief 7 point update.
1st: getting there was a breeze. the tampa
airport is one of the
sweetest we've
encountered. even with the
added
security of code orange,
if you get
to your local airport
early and take
a "jamaican" attitude,
it'll be no problem,
mon'. we had our bags
searched & moll's
bags were delayed in
arriving at tampa,
so we just picked up our
rental car and
went to the international
mall, which is
adjacent to the airport &
shopped for two
hours. when we returned to
the airport,
her bags were there & we
proceeded to
paradise lakes. tampa
airport is so well
"signed," it's an easy in
and out.
2nd: the trip from the airport to paradise lakes
is a breeze. the highways
are modern
wide, and well marked. the
next thing we
knew we were naked by the
pool with a
drink in our hand.
check-in was easy.
we went the "private
rental" route & stayed at
a sweet little townhouse
unit on the property.
in case you don't know,
there are many
different housing options,
from hotel-like rooms,
to bungalow units, to
luxury condos. we suggest
visiting the p.l. website
or reading our first trip
report. or contacting the
p.l. realty on the resort.
3rd: we went to a nearby supermarket & cooked most
of our meals in our apartment.
we did go to nearby
restaurants a few times. our
favorite is a sunset
dinner at frenchy's on the gulf
of mexico in clearwater
beach. there is a restaurant on
the resort. it was crowded
every night. most of the folks
we talked with said it was
adequate, but would have liked
to see more culinary
variety and panache. we had a
sandwhich and fries at the outdoor
bar next to the pool and enjoyed
it very much while listening
to live "jimmy buffet" type music. there is one hot-hot
tub
that seats maybe a dozen & and a
long 70-seat hot, but
not so hot, hot-tub, an "s"
shaped affair, right across from
the hot-hot-tub. people tend to
go back and forth, hot, then hotter,
then back to the "cooler," of the two. they were
very-very clean,
and the crowd was happy &
respectful. there were great volleyball
games in the "expert" pool. I
spent hours watching while
moll laid in the sun and read.
our operative word
this vacation was "relax," and
we did. there are other pools for
swimming or lounging. there are ping pong tables, shuffle
board,
and tennis courts, and plenty
of lounge chairs for just laying poolside.
4th: we danced our asses off. the disco was packed,
rocking, and SO much fun,
especially new years
eve. the drinks were great. we
laughed a lot. and
the opportunities for sexiness,
flirting, and teasing
were endless. we must tell you,
we're not into the
"lifestyle," and if you weren't looking for it, you would
truly not know it existed at p.l.
- and, maybe it doesn't,
however, we had quite a few
"interesting" conversations
of a hypothetical nature and
were impressed by the
tact and discretion of our
"guides," f & j - who added
a touch of "spice," to our
visit. thanks.
5th: the resort was immaculate. the service was top
rate this visit. the new
computer system used to
track our stay was great. we
felt secure, and yet
free enough to relax. i used the
gym & sauna for
a small additional fee. it was
wonderful. best thing
for us, we hardly got in the
damn car except after
dancing, & we didn't drive back
to our unit, we just
"talked." yeah, baby!
6th: we were naked most of the time but there is such
an atmosphere of freedom, nobody
really monitors
or judges anyone else. it was a
do your own thing
enviornment. people were
discreet, the crowd tended
to be in the 35-45 year range.
the women were dressed
in the usual "tease me" fashion,
some were topless
(at the disco) some were naked,
let's just say it was
like costume party at hedo every
night. we had a blast.
7th: the weater was magnificent, 78-81 & degrees & sunny
everyday of our stay which was over the christmas-
new years week.we didn't want to
leave, but we had to.
pardise lakes is stepping up to
the plate and we believe
now provides a fun stateside
alternative when, for one
reason or another, we can't make
it to jamaica.
any questions: please email.
peace & respect.
