Aventura Spa, Mexico: Luis & Sheryl - June, 2004
We were there June 2004.
We stayed at this resort for 7 nights and
wish we had longer. It was awesome. It was the first time we stayed at an
"Adults Only" resort which was great. We married in June of 2001 at the Moon
Palace Resort and we really enjoyed that one also. However, Aventura is the
same style and set-up as the Moon but just on a smaller scale and with NO
kids. With it's really good 6 restaurants, you can't go wrong. The landscaping
is beautiful through out. The staff are extremely friendly & accomodating. The
in-room mini-bar was just great! We loved it! It's a bit of a drive from the
airport though. About an hour or little more. And they offer 2 free tours with
a 7-night stay however we were happy just lounging at the pool all day, every
day. We did the tour thing But, you have to get there early in the morning to
reserve a lounge chair. I eventually would be in line for a towel at 7am so I
could reserve some chairs. If you wait until noon, forget about it. We
just absolutely loved this resort. We recently came back from H3 in Jamaica
and Aventura is outdoes it by miles. But then again, H3 isn't known for it's
upscale quarters. And we had just as much fun at H3. So now we are torn
between the two resorts. I personally have a preference for Cancun. Looks like
we'll have to take 2 vacations a year. One to H3 and one to Aventura. Thanx
for posting this.
