Hedonism II |
April 2009
Rookie Trip
We are a happily married monogamus couple who are first
timers at the Hedo resorts. First of, we initially
booked our trip and then received some very negative
feedback from an aquaintance of ours, who was totally
shocked at what had happened on their trip to H2. They
ran into some very agressive swingers and they we made
to feel very uncomfortable during their stay.
We consulted DennyP's site and the Yahoo April Group and
we did a lot of research. We had a good idea of what it
would be like and we decided to give it a try and make
the best of it.
Off we went to Jamaica. The flight was uneventful and
the trip to Runaway Bay took just over an hour, with
stops at Starfish and Breezes. No beer and bathroom
stop.
We arrived at about 4:30pm and went right to our room,
quad poolfront. Were told that a resort tour started at
5:pm so we left our bags and went right to the lobby to
meet the tour and have a drink.
We started the tour with one other couple and it was
pretty uneventful until we reached the nude pool. The
place was packed and we were greeted with chants of
"Take it off, Take it off". Then the ladies in our tour
were surrounded by several naked women who stripped the
ladies of most of their clothes all to the loud
approving cheers of dozens of drunken naked people. That
was our official welcome to Hedo 3! It was all in good
fun and we couldn't stop laughing about it.
The rest of our stay consisted of relaxing around the
nude pool all day, reading, drinking cocktails, eating
jerk chicken and nachos, playing vollyeball and talking
with the most friendly people anywhere. We did this
everyday. We ate at all the restaurants with Pastafari
being our favorite. We saw a few shows but, being
an old married couple we just could'nt stay up late
enough to make to the disco or the late night waterslide
and hot tub activities.
Here are some observations about the resort during our
stay;
The rooms definitely need some updating, they are
showing their age.
The nude area is small compared to the prude area,
especially the beach, which is tiny.
The new towel policy works well.
The quad pool is nice, but the bar closes at 7pm
The quad rooms can be noisey, you have to keep the
bathroom door closed to muffle the sounds.
The staff was very helpful and friendly.
The electricity went out for a few hours one day and the
TV went out a few times, hardly noticed by anyone.
Every other person we met was Canadian
They was very little smoking (Both Kinds) at the resort,
which was a pleasant surprise.
We met so many friendly people during our stay we felt
right at home.
We caught the first couple days of the WWW group but
didn't make any of the events, we were too busy doing
nothing.
During our stay someone made an observation which we now
believe to be 100% true and sums up our first experience
at Hedo. They said that once you go to Hedo, it ruins
every vacation after that. Nothing else compares with
the experience of Hedo.
We will return.
