The Unnaked Truth

 

Our trip to Hedo III with AWOL was preceded with a certain amount of trepidation.

We, Sue and I, have been to a number of islands, a few countries, and a couple of all inclusive resorts.  This was however our first trip to an adult only resort.

 

Before the trip AWOL set up chats where everyone had the opportunity talk about concerns, ask questions, or just talk to people you’d be traveling with.  Turned out we had a lot in common with a number of people. Some first timers, some many timers.

One thing about AWOL is that they realize not everyone has the same idea of the ‘perfect vacation’.  You get the benefits of group travel with the freedom to be individuals.

So with a confidence born of the excitement of adventure and more knowledge than we could use we booked our trip.

 

We had a prude ocean view suite.  Ocean view doesn’t begin to describe it.  The water is at least three distinct shades of bright crystal blue.  The prude pool and beach (due to the layout of the property, which wasn’t designed as a Hedo resort) are the biggest at the resort (there are three pools and two beaches).  The entire property is beautifully maintained.

 

All of this being said, the best thing about the trip, for us, was the people.  Both the people from the AWOL group and the staff were simply great.  We were well prepped for the trip by our AWOL buddies and simply pampered by the staff.

 

The restaurants on property are fun and the food was OK, except for the Scotch Bonnet, which was really good.

 

We never did get naked or topless (OK, I was topless, but I’m an old guy, nothing to see here).  We did some of the night life, but not as much as we will next year.  WE DID HAVE A BLAST.  This is the reason we have already booked with AWOL for next year. 

 

Will we get naked?  Will we karaoke?  We don’t know!  But we’ll have a great time finding out!
