Roger & Teresa - March, 2007

Mar 4th-10th This was our fourth trip to H III in the last six years, and here is what we thought of it.

Airport and Bus ride: The airport has gone through major renovations since we were there last January(2006). We landed at 1:00, and we're sitting on the bus by 1:45, immigrations and customs were very fast and efficient. This is the fastest we have ever made it through in our six trips to Jamaica. Thankfully, our bus was scheduled to be in Ocho by 3:00, so the driver did not stop on the way. The highway is NOT completed, it's maybe about 75 to 80 % done. We arrived at Hedo at 2:55, record time in our book.

Check in: This was a breeze, and we were in our pool front room within 15 minutes.

The Room: We stayed in the quad, for our third time. The room itself was fine, however the quad was much louder than we ever remembered. Forget any midday power naps, it was impossible. We will not stay in the quad again.

The Food and Drink: The food was as always...resort food, it's adequate, but nothing to rant and rave over. I also feel like the buffet selection has decreased slightly. The drinks were awesome as always.

The Staff: Front desk, bar staff and the EC's were all awesome, they all work very hard and do a great job! The dining room staff, especially Pastafari and the Scotch Bonnet have gone down hill significantly. We had a party of ten in Pastafari one night, and they would not allow us to slide a table over five feet so we could eat together. The restaurant had only two other tables in use at the time, they were being very anal. The Scotch Bonnet was no better, extremely slow, they gave the attitude that we were bothering them. It's really unfortunate, because this is the first time we have encountered this.

Weather: Hot and sunny most of the week, a couple of showers in the late afternoon.

PDA: The resort was maybe 60% full, this is by far the emptiest we have ever seen the resort. But there was still some PDA to be seen, after all, it is Hedo!

Nightlife: The piano bar rocked every night, Glen does an awesome job. The Disco (which we hit three nights) was packed, and they played current dance music for the most part. All in all, we had a great time dancing the night away.

Summary: In spite of the fact that some of the service was not what it should be, we had a great trip. Thanks to the many great people we met and hung out with, and yes, we will go back again.
