I wasn’t going to send a trip report but after a couple weeks I figure that I maybe able to help someone. First let me say that my wife and I are not swingers and have never traveled to a C/O resort before. I booked this trip back in January for somewhere and something different to do on my 40^th along with another couple. All seemed well until I saw that sex extravaganza set their dates for the same time. This seemed to be a little more than I bargained for. I did a lot more research after that, which is when I found this site. My fears were calmed but then new ones arose because most of the trip reports were so negative about the service, food, bus ride and on and on. By now it was too late to change so we adopted the lets expect the worse and just make the best of it attitude.  

            Well its time to leave and things go south in a hurry. US Air decided to put stand bys on our plane 22 minutes before takeoff with us in line to board. We promptly shoved our way to the front to be rudely greeted. We were informed it was tough luck, after another 10 minutes they did a new count and said 2 could board. We sent the other couple and our luggage to Jamaica. We were then put on a flight to rainy Ft Lauderdale for the night to catch a 6:30 am flight the next day on Jamaica air with no boarding passes. We were at the airport at 4:00 to make sure we had time to fix everything and make that fight. I still in shock, absolutely no problems on to Jamaica we went.  

            Arrival was smooth, a lot of funny looks and questions about traveling light (remember our luggage spent the night in Jamaica). We breezed straight through the airport to the Superclubs room. 20 minutes later we were on a bus with one other couple also going to H3. The trip took 55 minutes since at this time of the am the driver didn’t stop for a beer but boy I sure would have taken one after the last 24 hours.  The bus ride was fine, I was expecting a scene from Deliverance from the horror stories people wrote. It was a little rough at times but who gives a rats your on vacation. We had a little trouble checking in because our confirmation number was with the other couple which surprised me because I called to confirm the reservations the week before and they didn’t even ask for it. We had to track down the other couple to get info. Room will not be ready for a couple hours, no problem we are actually here. 10 minutes later they catch me heading to the main bar – the rooms ready. We finish checking into our pool front room and go change our 2 day old clothes and try to freshen up a little. The room was clean, cool, no funny smell or anything else negative like we read about. Really starting to see a pattern here. 

            Straight to the main bar we go, we have to catch up on lost time. That didn’t take long as we finally realized 3 hours of sleep and no food hit fast. Off to eat at the Reggae Café. The food was very good, service was great. We walked around the facility a little while just checking out the scenery. I don’t notice any problems even close to what we read about. The pattern is continuing! Well you would have to expect with the way things went the day before it would rain. At least we really needed to rest so a couple hour snooze and a shower hit the spot. Pattern continued with a long and hot shower.  

            The first night we had dinner at Pastafari. The food was good but the portions were a little on the small side. The service and atmosphere were great. With all the buffets and other services the small portions are fine and actually after the fact it was good not to be stuffed and try a lot of other things. When we left the restaurant we figured we would have to go over to the nude area for the party but we were wrong. The main bar and terrace were packed and stayed that way  past the time we ran out of gas and hit the Quad hot pool. 

I guess when I turned 40 in Ft Lauderdale hangovers hit harder than when I was 39. We spent the mornings on the prude beach close to the drink fountains at the terrace. I figured the beach would be all ours but at least half the chairs were always full until lunch. It is this time of day that the 32 oz mugs come in handy because you can make fewer trips in the rehydration process. 

            We hit the Terrace for lunch, breakfast and dinner. There was a large selection of all kinds of food. I tried several different courses, including some I have no idea what they were. Only one of the things I tried I wouldn’t recommend but someone else may like it so who cares. The food overall again was good. I know it’s a buffet but the service was great. They kept the drinks full at all times and removed the plates fast, once too fast but o well. We also had dinner at Manasan. The results are the same as Pastafari except here you will be overly stuffed.  

            The main bar and Quad area were both really active all day. On our second day when were at the quad in the afternoon doing body shots with people we just meet they made the comment that they left the nude area because the sex extravaganza group was running the whole area. I can’t confirm that myself because we never made it there as all the party atmosphere we needed was at the quad and Main bar areas. The quad area was about 95% nude, and all times of the day there was someone going down the slide nude. Since most people say you have to go to the nude area to have fun it makes sense to me that the party moved but it didn’t lose anything. I know someone will say the nude area was still the place to be and I can’t argue that but if it was then the whole resort was one big party, more so than any reports I’ve read. 

            I have gone on long enough. I don’t know what some people expect and how they can complain about everything, you’re on vacation. I have no complaints other than US Air. The service was as good as place we’ve been before. We did not make it to the nude area itself but the Quad area seemed to be like the stories most write about the nude side. This is a resort that you make what you want out of. If you are fun and want fun you will, if you a stiff and prefer to be so you’ll be writing negative reviews. The pattern I was referring to is the result of people that have a bad experience are always the few but like to hear themselves talk. The resort gave me a 1 day voucher to make up for the lost night so I will be back. We again will head to the fun whether it is at the nude, quad or prude area because we now know it is there.
