Michael & Suzanne’s Trip report for April 1st – 8th, 2006.
This is our forth trip to Hedonism III
Travel
We used American Airlines this year and traveled coach. Not bad other than the plane was packed. Also I had wore a t-shirt that said “ shit happens when you party naked” and the woman taking our tickets told me I had to turn it inside out.. ya that wasn’t happening! Orlando international has WiFi so sitting around waiting for our flight to board wasn’t too bad.
Check-in
It was after 3 and the Room wasn’t ready but a big bag of Hershey miniatures had us a room in about 20 min.
Room Assignment
We ended up in the quad building, room 225(I think), 2nd floor. We thought it was a great location right at the top of the stairs and not a long walk, the bed was comfortable (first time we ever had the “twin beds pushed together” and we always had hot water with good pressure.
Activities
Nothing out of the ordinary. The group we are with every year make up our own activities and some better theme nights (Pirate Night Rocks!)
Food
The food was generally good and about par with the last time we were there. It’s not the best in the world but we don’t go to Hedo for the food. The Japanese Restaurant food was awesome as usual and Pastafari was also good. Reggae Café, Good as usual.. I was soo wanting the patties & Cocoa bread.
Service
Well it seems the washing machine or something broke so there was a shortage of clean bath towels, so we were lucky if we got any and they kept taking the used ones when we did get them instead of leaving them hung up like we had them. The house keeper for our floor quit the day after we got there and the new girl didn’t know not to put “twin” sheets on a king bed so the Mrs. and I fought for the sheet the whole night. The wait staff at the restaurants were friendly as usual.
Facilities
Everything was in working order from what we could tell. Hot tubs were at the right temp (some people complained that it was too hot) but I looked at the temp myself and it was between 100 & 102 which is the proper temp for a hot tub. I saw the staff drain & clean the nude & Quad hot tubs daily.
Summary
All in all we had a great time as usual. It’s great to see all our friends every year. Sometimes we wish we could afford to go back 2 or 3 times a year to get together with them all. Our 70’s night was awesome! We even had “Kiss” in the house! It was tough as usual to leave.. As we pulled away, Suzanne had a tear in her eye and said “why can’t we have friends like this at home…”
