Keith & Sheila - November, 2005

November 19, 2005 to November 28, 2005

We visited Hedo III on the above dates, mainly because Desire blew away in the hurricane.

Our trip started out on the bad side, as when we arrived at the airport in Montego Bay, we were missing one suitcase.  This suitcase wasnt a big deal, if you didnt need tanning lotion, condoms, lube, and other fun items.  We found this suitecase was in Miami.  Funny thing, we never went to Miami.  We were assured it would be on the next plane and delivered later that evening.  Cant really blame that on Hedo, that was a Delta Airlines problem.

The ride out to Hedo wasnt too bad.  It actually was kind of thrilling to watch the bus driver dodging other cars, kinda like being in a smash up derby...lol...Wonder how they dont have a much higher traffic death rate there in Jamaica.  We noticed, even the police cars drove like complete idiots.  This trip out to hedo wasnt too bad, was about 3 hrs of bad roads, hold on, watch the country side the best we could.

Upon arrival at Hedo, we were greeted by friends from the past and other resorts.  The welcome was great.  We were shown to our room, overlooking the quad pool.  We were actually impressed with the room, the view, etc, at that time.  The accomadations seemed to be really nice, little did we know we would be without water for several days during out stay, and without hot water for at least 3 days.

We enjoyed the first few days at the nude pool, hot tubs, etc.  We werent impressed in the least with the beach.  The prude side, we spent little time on, but what time we did spend in the water over there, we found the sea weeds to be horrible.  Dont know about the rest of  you, but wading thru sea weads isnt my idea of a good beach.  The nude side...well ,guess we are spoiled for other resorts.  The nude side beach is next to non existant.  About 75 feet of beach front, and after you waded in the water about 20 feet, you came upon nothing but a rocky and weedy bottom.   Again, who would want to swim in a bunch of rocks, just waiting to step on something, twist a ankle, etc.  Not us.  After that, we stayed off the beaches.

Tues, Wed, Thurs & Fri of our stay the weather was horrible.  I dont believe Hedo could be blamed for this.  However, those bad weather rain checks, dont hold you breath waiting on them.  We still havent received ours.  But to be honest, dont figure it matters, we wont be going back anyway.

Now I said Hedo cant control the weather.  However, they have complete control over their physical plant, etc.  Those 4 days of bad weather, the hot tub on the nude side stayed between 84 and 88 degrees.  Hmmm, dont think we will be spending alot of time in there.  The quad hot tub, well, it was 105 most of that time.  After 3 days of 105, we finally had enough and complained to management.  Well, we learned a lesson there.  After we complained, they drained the hot tub completely and refused to refill it for a day.   Now what else can you do during bad weather, rain, etc...other than hot tub and have sex.  By that time, we had sexed each other out.  The hot tubs were either too hot, way too cold, or empty.  Another funny thing about those hot tubs...the one on the nude side, that was too cold to get in...That bar was open.  The one on the Quad,,,too hot, but at least you could set around it, with one foot in, that bar was closed before dark every night....hmmm, think that is a money saving thing, by not serving alcohol?

Well, you would think a resort would do things during bad, rainy weather for their guests.  You know, in door games, keep the hot tubs at a good temp, the booze would be flowing, serve a little better food, etc.  Well, if you thinking that, you would be wrong.  None of those things happened.

The food was ok at best.  The prime rib, when it was served, wasnt even close to good.  The other cuts of meat, well, it could be eaten, thats about all I can say about it.  Now here in the states, we know the worst cuts of meat, etc, all goes to WalMart.  Guarenteed, even Walmart would sell that meat.

The service.  Best I can say, is well, what service.  At the very least we always waited 10-15 minutes for a drink.  Now if they were busy, I could understand that.  But that was all the time, busy or not.  Again, guess we are spoiled for other resorts.   Not supposed to be any tipping.  I saw some, and those whom did tip nicely, well, they did get a little better service.  We did tip, but still got pissed over the service, and stopped the tipping.

We did learn a few things while in Jamaica.  The English Translation for instance for YO MON, SOON...Actually means, F**k Y** American, we already have your money.   Seemed like everytime you asked for something, be it a drink, food, turn the water up in a hot tub or down in the other, their answer was YO MON SOON.

Other than that, I will say it makes us glad to be making plans for another trip...to a different resort, but not one of  the Hedos.  We arent naming the resort, as we do not want all those whom Hedo treated poorly to be going to the one we much prefer.  If word got out too much, we would be able to get our reservations...lol...

OK...gonna give it up.....but only once...DESIRE...Has nothing to worry about from Hedo.  I will take Tequilla, Service, Clean rooms, Clean everything, good food, nice big beaches, over stage shows anytime.  Seemed like that was the only real difference between the two, far as activities went.

HURRY DESIRE, REBUILD.
