Rick & Ivy - August, 2004

First just let me say a great big thank you to Denny for the great site that he has provided to us to keep in touch with Hedo and friends even though for 51 weeks out of the year it is ever so vicariously.  That being said...sadly, we have just returned from our 4th trip to Hedo III.

Left LAX on redeye, consumed first Ting and Vodka and settled in for a very uneventful flight.  Arrived MO-Bay and were very pleased at the recent (well we had been there in a year, but based upon the road construction, we are gonna call the recent) additions and changes at Sangster International.  We did not have to venture out into the heat and humidity this time, Jetway into the airport was a welcome relief.  Breezed thru Immigration and customs.  On to the Superclubs desk, one word, fantastic.  You no longer have to wait against a wall for your bus to Hedo, they have a great indoor, air conditioned sitting area for you to wait now. Not a bad wait, not to long.

The bus ride was the usual 1.5 hours over, we were in early so we chose to not stop for a drink on the way over.  The driver did wait a bit in a little town along the way so he could give a friend a ride to her work, no worries.  The road...ya mon, still under construction.  Good spots and bad spots, not that big of a deal really, gave us the chance to chat with the other couple going to Hedo that we had met last year.

Arrived at the resort, the room was ready, so off we went.  Changed...lol..ok, got naked, we were in the 600 building, ground floor, stepped out the back door and whalaa...naked/nude pool and people.  Met some others from Cocktails that had beat us in and the party was on.  Thats about the routine for the next 10 days, got up, put towels out, went to breakfast, hung out at the nude pool, what a blast.

Food, buffet was just that, cant go to wrong with breakfast, though we did chat with David the manager and expressed our sadness over the changing of the French Toast, no longer the thick bread, rum soaked, sugar coated.  He told us he would mention that to the Chef, interestingly enough, sugar coated was added the very next day, we do miss the original style, but I guess that was a compromise...lol..eggs made to order on the omelet line, nice.  A wide variety of fresh fruit daily.  Service was fantastic.

Off to the nude pool...

Lunch was most often at the nude grille or the Scotch Bonnet.  The grille was great, hamburgers, hot dogs and the such.  Definitely try the Jerk Chicken and Crab salad salads?  Fresh and good.  The Bar staff at the pool was quick considering they had Cocktails International, Wild Women and Trapeze groups to deal with. Scotch Bonnet, ya mon, you want Jamaica food, jerk sandwich on coco bread, patties, you name it, they got it and its served hot.  the ocean is right there, great view while you eat.

Back to the nude pool..

Dinner, we ate a number of times at Pastafari, enjoyed every time, food was great and a good selection.  The staff was fantastic, service was always good.  We did not get the opportunity to eat at Munsans this time around, though we did have reservations 2 nights, they had mistakenly over booked, having eaten there in past trips, we gave up our seats to couples that had not been there before.  So off to the buffet for dinner we would go, the selection was always varied, beef, chicken, fish and pasta, salad bar, we could always find something to eat.

The time we spent in the room was nice, A/C was cold, water, temps varied depending on the usage, nice and hot in the AM and warm enough to bathe in the evenings before dinner if you didnt turn on the cold water at the same time.

Nightlife...hmmmm...good question, we are daytime people and prefer the fun in the sun.  Many of Cocktails International people expressed to us on a daily basis about the great time we missed the previous evening...lol...whatever...

The nude pool is the happening place at night for sure, our room was right next to it and heard/saw many a party going on into the wee...no pun intended...hours of the morning.  Closing the bathroom door eliminated most if not all of the moans/shouts of the people partying that I knew we would not see at breakfast the next morning.

The resort workers were fantastic from the dining room staffs to the bartenders and housekeeping.  We did not receive our invite to the Repeaters Party, but knew when it was and asked the Front Desk who took our name and room number.  We were contacted by Guest Services who apologized and sent our invitation right out.

The Cocktails International people, this was our 3rd trip with them in as many years.  They did a great job of keeping everyone involved as much as you wanted to be.  We met up with lots of old friends and made some new ones.  The list is really way to long to mention everyone by name, so please, if we met ya, it was a pleasure and we hope to see you again next year, if we didnt meet ya, our loss I am sure...
