Gary & Tiffany - November, 2003

November 29 - December 3, 2003

We apologize for the delay in submitting this trip report. In the past we began writing them the moment we returned but this year we were just beat. So with that, here we go….

We flew Air Jamaica out of Miami direct to Montego Bay. Both legs of the flight was flawless. No complaints here. This past May we flew American Airlines and was very disappointed. The flight didn’t leave on time. So for us, Air Jamaica gets a two thumbs up! Upon arriving we took the bus with several other people for the journey to Hedo III. On the bus were two single guys from N.Y. wearing baggie jean shorts, cut off shirts and ball caps. They weren’t going to Breezes or Trelawny Beach Club but you guessed it, Hedo III. More about them later. Do you really want to know what happened? Alright here is what happened the first night we were there. Evidently these two had been drinking ever since we stopped for Red Stripes earlier in the day.

We watched these guys stagger around near the main bar while we waited to dine at Pastafaris. Well the one guy staggers up to us and says “I really want to hook up.” Gary was ready clean his clock when his buddy apologized for his behavior. Tiffany told him to pace himself, after all it was only their first night there. They then staggered away. Moments later this really big guy came over to the bartender and told him that if they didn’t take care of this A*%#$%#$, then he would. Evidently something occurred out of our view. Moments later the duo retuned to the main bar and the rude one was trying to hold a conversation with a guy and his wife also waiting to dine at the restaurant. You could see that the sober patron was tolerating this guy but had this look like a cobra ready to strike. Within a minute the fight was on. The patron slugged the drunk guy and then the strangest thing happened. Every guy in the resort seamed to come out of the shadows and get their licks in. This guy was like a piñata, except candy didn’t come out! We couldn’t swear to it but we thought the bartenders and Romeo kicked the guy too. Alright we embellished the bartender thing but the two amigos were escorted off the property by security and the Bobylons. That has to be a record. Seven hours after arrival, getting your ass kicked. We really wish Superclubs would stop marketing Hedo to single guys with attitudes. Now had that been a single girl who came over and asked us to hook up, then it wouldn’t have been a problem! Oh and by the way….our dinner was great! Ok, back to our report.

When we arrived at the front desk we were greeted by one of the clerks who remembered us from our visit in May. He assigned us a first floor room in the quad which we later traded for a third floor room. The reason we did that was because the room looked like party room central. There were a lot of things broken. If we stay in the quad we always request a third floor room because it is quieter and you get the exercise from climbing the stairs. Also when you are drunk it is easier to find your room. After all the stairs eventually end. Well there is one more stairwell that leads to the roof. When one is inebriated, one may mistake that door for ones room. Don’t ask.

Well the day for us consisted of lounging by the nude pool, having lunch at the Scotch Bonnet, lounging back by the pool, going to dinner, watching a show, going to the piano bar, going to the disco, going to the hot tub and then to bed. We would have to say that the resort was pretty slow with very little activity around the pool. We met some very nice people as in the past. One evening while in the nude hot tub we met a very nice lifestyle couple from Los Angeles. (Smile)

The weather was very nice during our stay and it only rained a few times in the early morning. The temperature was similar to what we had left so it was not a problem. We did notice that the water in the nude pool was pretty cold and would make any guy look like a ken doll in certain areas. As for P.D.A. there was very little. The activity coordinators tried to get things going but the crowd seemed content to just lay low. The vibe was much different than our last visit.

While in the piano bar one evening we both looked around and remembered the great times that we have had at Hedo III, the great friends we have made and at the moment, without a word being said, we knew that this would be our last trip to Hedo III. Well at least for a year or two. We never thought that the song American Pie or the karaoke would get to us. Maybe we were not that drunk enough but we knew at the moment that we needed a change. So we both agreed that our next trip would be to Hedo II and that we would go with a lifestyle group or friends. So as we finish writing this report we have chosen to return to Hedo II with close friends of our this May. We are excited to see how it looks since it was under renovation during our last visit. We will surely leave a new trip report, which we hope will be more exciting than this one.

Oh and one last thing, thank you Denny for such a great web site!
