Hedo III March 7-14 (Virgin Trip)

Our flight was just like any other flight; you wait in line-go up- come down- wait in line. nuff said.

The bus ride was quite interesting. We were fortunate to get a large tour bus that was very comfortable by Jamaican standards. Our Driver "Robert" gave us brief history on every resort, community, and even the grave yard that he self-proclaimed as the "Last Resort, all inclusive, Clothing Optional". This guy was a blast and made the 90-minute trip seem like 30. A quick stop for red stripe, and we were on our way again. We got to ride on spurts of the new road, as most of it is under construction. We asked “when the road will be finished?” Robert says "Soon come" I think that meant a couple of years.

Stopped to drop off a few couples at Grand L, I think I saw them cry as we us drove off to Hedo.

Welcome Home!

A beautiful Jamaican girl proclaimed as we entered the resort. We told her that we have never been here before. She grew a devious smile and said " ahh-Virgins, then handed us a glass of Champaign and wet towel to cool our overheated body's. We only took 3 steps into Hedo's front entry and knew we had picked the right place to come.

Arriving at the Hedo at 3p.m. was perfect. Our room was ready and off we went  #612, Yippee nude pool frontage! Only one problem, neither of us had been nude in public before.

We had long discussions about 1) going nude, 2) when we were going to go nude, 3) how we were going to go nude.

I think it was definitely important to plan this departure from our comfort zone.

We agreed that we would start at the prude beach, and then after a day or two - work our way over to the clothing optional pool, then finally go to the nude beach and ease up to the nude pool.

After dropping the luggage on the floor Tonia went to use the bathroom. "Woo wee,” echoed from the bathroom, I came to see why she shouted only to find her staring out the window onto the nude pool and famed Pussy Fountain. The pool was packed with people hooting and hollering just having a good time- oh yea and they were all nude.

We just looked at each other and unanimously said, "I'm ready are you?"

About 15 minutes later we were grabbing a towel and looking for a place to sit and enjoy the people and pool. (Nude I might add)

The first half hour being nude was a little awkward but after meeting some people and seeing friends from the bus we never felt more comfortable. It was really not the big deal we made it out to be.

Spent the rest of that day exploring Hedo's delights.

Day 2 thru 6 seemed to run together. That is either due to lack of sleep (go to bed around 3 and rise at 5-thus seeming like one long 120 hour day) or that every thing we did was fun and exciting and nothing to separate the days from each other. I can never sleep when I’m away so rising early gave me opportunity to fill my mug with delicious Jamaican Coffee, and choose our lounge chairs for the day. The funny thing was there were usually still people in the hot tub at this hour of the morning. I always got asked, “What time is it?” I always responded party time!

Some highlights most remembered are:

Nude run to the water slide: after my 5th run Spike said "that's enough they need to check in guests"

Toga Night: I never dreamed anyone wearing a sheet could be so sexy! (Made our own)

The piano Bar: a new friend who brought his harmonica to play for us all and reminded me that inhibitions are only in your mind. The piano bar is a great place to meet new friends. It's OK, no one there can sing!

PJ night: Our favorite

The disco: we haven't danced like that in years!

Lots of food: from Lobster to Lamb, Jerk Chicken to Beef.

Best of all, Williams omelets MM-good way to start the day.

The only schedule I kept to separate the days was Scuba diving. Tuesday did the resort course and then dove that afternoon. I automatically fell in love with being under the water. So I signed up for the PADI certification. Met some really great people and got to experience and complete the first stage of a life long dream. The instructor is a peach- Love ya Anne-Marie. We dove with Sea Turtles, Morey eels, and so many colorful fish on a beautiful reef vibrant with living coral.

I have only one reservation about the scuba program.

The resort course, while it was fun, should be more in depth if not abolished when you consider the dangers of diving and all the other elements you are exposed to at a resort IE: alcohol, drugs, and exhaustion.

Back to the good stuff,

The resort was not full as no groups were scheduled for our time. There was still allot of action, PDA's at the pool and hot tubs (both day and night), volley ball, and yes of course body shots. I think were hooked on Rum Cream as on our way home we bought our limit to help with DIF.

I wasn't sure how we would react to the PDA's as were not active in the lifestyle, but we enjoyed them still the same. We were approached numerous times to get together with other couples and singles to party, a simple "no thank you" response and our conversation with them continued.

While we were there they were working on the grass areas in front of Building 6 turning it into stone patio blocks for more lounge chairs. They definitely need more room at the nude side. Although it seemed small, being close to everyone does encourage conversation.

We ventured to the quad once to see what it was like but with only about 10 people there it was hardly a party.

If you get time, go to the top of the Scotch bonnet to watch the sunset. It’s absolutely gorgeous! Tonia says very romantic watching the sun set onto the west side of the island.

This place is truly unique! But it’s not the resort- as beautiful as it is.

It is all the guests and the staff. They are all a great bunch of people. We met people who are doctors, teachers, police, business owners, people who assemble motorcycles, and folks who work at Wal-Mart.

So many people from different walks of life that we met in one week and have common interests with who we now consider friends, yet 5 minutes before meeting were complete strangers, where else does that happen?

The 14th was a sad day, we made our treks around the resort to say goodbye to everyone with hopes of seeing them again soon. Many we have traded contact info with and will try to stay in touch with.

On the plane ride home we discussed our plans for our return trip, the only thing in our way is time & money LOL. (Where there’s a will there’s a way)

Hedo Hugz, to Phil & Pat who showed a couple of virgins who, what, when & where. And Joe my dive buddy and his wife Merriam who let him take the course with me. And the many other couples that we met and had so much fun with.

Thanks to DennyP, you did a great job setting up our trip! Your web site helped prepare us for Hedo. And to all who posted trip reports and messages on Denny's site. They all truly influenced our decision of choosing Hedo III.

I think were hooked on hedo!
