Steve & Tina - January, 2003

1/4/03 to 1/12/03

After an all night flight to Montego Bay from the pacific northwest, was very tired but ready for the 'advernture' my husband and I had been researching on for over a year.  The van ride to the resort definitely woke us up.  After one and a half hours of the road trip, how could anyone sleep?!  Very excited when we finally saw the Hedonism III resort entrance sign.  Upon arrival, sent directly to the lobby and checked in very quickly and without any problems.  The service was excellent which helped start out our first visit with high regards.  The room was exactly as we expected.  Mirrors on the ceiling, CD player for our favorite rock and funk and a 3rd floor view of the quad pool.  Immediately spotted topless and bottomless and didn't want to stay in the room much longer!  After leaving the room, began our own private tour of the resort but found out the next day (didn't read resort info soon enough) that there was an orientation at 10:00am and 5:00pm everyday giving the newcomer a tour.  The orientation is especially useful when being introduced for the first time to the 'nude' pool and beach.  If not used to baring it all, this helps to feel more comfortable.  Even though it took us a day to become comfortable with the idea, we didn't go back to prude after that.

We didn't participate in any of the activities at the nude pool but enjoyed watching them thoroughly.  Found that the fun was always happening in that area.  Next visit, most likely we will partake in the activities.  Sorry, rookie trip.  Learned a lot and know what expect next time.  We can say that there was plenty of PDA's both day and night to help make our stay more enjoyable and more open.  We thought about how to explain this at home but found you have to experience it in person.  You can try to explain but then they just look at you as if you're describing an X rated movie to them.  Have to experience it in person.  When you go back home, those movies don't mean as much.  Have to re-create your vacation to reach that level.

Tried hard to participate in the theme nights.  Most memorable was Toga.  During the day learned which style to wear and was relieved when the resort supplied the sheets and demonstrated how to tie them during the day.  The toga party was a lot of fun just as long as you participated.  Many didn't and missed out.  The most fun was at the disco.  Many exhibitionists where on display that night in the disco.  Can't say we didn't enjoy it!  Also had a lot of fun at the beach party.  We ended up in competition amongst 2 other teams and won great prizes.  The more you become involved in activities, the more fun you have.  Wish we had done more.

We had a great time with the people we met.  First one to remember is Deep.  A genuine English gentleman with a lot of class and comedic quality.  His performance of 'I Will Survive' during the talent competition will last in our memories forever.  You go Deep!  Yvonne and Traci, we had a lot of fun at Dunn River Falls and meeting up several times after that.  Tom and Tina, what a fun couple.  Glad we could have dinner a few times together and that we could finally feel comfortable enough to 'hang' out on the nude pier together.  Also glad that you two competed in the oil wrestling and won a prize.  Would like to try that one next time!  Jake and Tracey, even though we didn't meet you until our last day, had a lot in common and hope to meet you two again.  Sounds like we left when the party was just beginning!  Met many other great people too late which makes us want to come back for more.  Should of been less 'shy' earlier.  Was propositioned by 'swingers' but found that even though they found  that you're not interested, they didn't shun you.  Same goes for the many 'business' dealers outside the resort and over the resort walls.  Just let them know no thanks and they leave you alone.  No problem mon.

Unfortunately the weather was not on our side.  Rarely did we see the sun peak out.  Was very humid which was nice to us pacific northwesterners.  Our last day the sun came out for 5 hours and we didn't leave the pier once.  Couldn't go home without some color on our skins!  It still didn't stop us from lying out in the clouds during the week.  Enjoyed the PDA's though.  Definetly helped put a 'spark' back into our marriage.

We met a lot of great people.  It wasn't until our last 2-3 days that we finally let loose and felt comfortable enough to talk to anyone that walked into our path.  Found out that we should have been doing that all along.  Can't have a great time without a great group of friends to have it with!  Next time it will be much different now that we know what to expect and now have our feelings and emotions in check.  It's quite a trip to go from 'prude' to 'nude'.  But once you get there, there's no going back.

Thanks for a great time.  Hopefully the resort will be more full.  Felt that the resort wasn't even close to full.  Heard that the resort was only 60% full.  Definitely felt it but still had fun.  Tried to do as much research as possible before we arrived.  Knew it was going to be more than we have ever seen (live) or done but didn't know how far our emotions would take us.  In summary, we shed our inhibitions as the literature describes.  Let your mind and body go at Hedo 3 and you will have a great time.

Oh, the food was good.  Never went hungry.  As long as you know when it's served, and care if it's served, it's always available.  If not, go to the gift shop and buy food to satisfy your junk food habit.  You won't find it anywhere else in the resort.  Had food 'withdrawls' when we got back home, and alchohol too.  Too busy to think or find it.  Ready for another vacation.  We are interested in Hedo 2 but found that January is not the month to go due to us not being into 'swinging'.  Would like to see some feedback from other Rookies and ongoers that may have vacationed there during the same time we went.  Please email us!
