Hedo Virgins June 2003

After numerous years of talking about going, we finally took the plunge and made our virgin voyage June 21-28. Was it worth the wait? Hell yes, but what took us so long?

We arrive in Jamaica, made it through immigration with no problems and found the SuperClubs desk. Shortly thereafter, we were on board for the most adventurous ride of our lifetime. It was everything we expected from reading other reports. Took 1.5 hours with a stop at the Starfish and the roadside oasis. Some tried to talk the driver out of stopping, but no way. Just buy a beer, cigar and relax, you are stopping regardless. Experience the ride!

We arrived around 5:00, and check in was a breeze. We made it to our room, poolside at the quad. After unpacking, we caught up with the tour being given. We made it as far as the Scotch Bonnet, when we heard the jerk chicken calling. We ditched the tour and grabbed a bite to eat, the retired back to our room. As evening was approaching, we decided to bare it all and grab a drink at the quad bar. Although we have been in the lifestyle for many years, this was our first “nekkid” experience. We figured if we could not do it then, it was never.  Take our NIKE advice: just do it! It isn’t a big deal.

After a couple of RedStripes, we headed to the pool bar, where we were the only ones there. We later found out that it is slow in the early evening as people do something called eating supper. We left and returned later, and still were the only ones there, until we were joined by another couple (thanks Jim/Debbie, it was a blast!). Slowly more people made their way and by 12:00 it was pretty busy.

Our days consisted of mainly hanging out at the quad pool, which this week was 99% nude. It was one of the laziest vacations we have ever taken. We talked about scuba, snorkeling, sailing, and excursions but never got the strength to do any of them. We intended of doing more with the group we went with (The Hellians), but were really enjoying each other’s company. In retrospect, hope others didn’t think we were stuck up (we are both introverted) however we deal with lots of people and stress at work everyday; it was nice doing nothing! We did meet some people we chatted online before we left, as well as new people we really enjoyed their company (John/Kathy!) Our goal next year is to mingle more!

The drinks were great; food was good. Never made it to the restaurants (too lazy to make a reservation) but overall was exactly what we expected. We were not expecting five-star meals, but they always had something. A fresh tomato and chocolate mousse made my week!

We will not bore you with everyday occurrences, but will try and highlight some good/bad points. First age and body shape, like stated on here, is of no concern. First night we met a couple from Florida old enough to be our parents’, and some of their young friends (our age). They were most entertaining and great company. The EC’s/ and especially the bartenders were outstanding. Cannot believe how upbeat they remained the entire time. Our room was very nice, cleaned everyday. It was nice having a swim up room for those potty breaks. Noise no big deal during the nights, some nude volleyball at 4am but shut the bathroom door and it gets better. Despite what some may say on here in regards to sleep, some of us need it! There were PDA’s present, but mainly discreet. Vinnies and Wallies could have been there, but we really didn’t notice any.  People were very friendly!

Now some suggestions: First, buy some plastic ashtrays for the pool areas. Of course a glass from the bar does the trick also. The thing that bothered the most us is trying to figure out what the activities / nights are. The list on here, Superclubs and other sites are all different. While we knew about PJ, 70’s and toga, other nights were somewhat confusing. It really isn’t a big deal, but maybe a daily newsletter with all the events would be nice (like they do on a cruise) Or better yet, incorporate something with channel 20 (HEDO TV) so you can flip to that channel and see what is planned. (Throughout the day)

In conclusion, it was truly a fantastic week. We would recommend reading the trip reports and message boards. This truly depicted the way we envisioned Hedo, and was most accurate. This report may be the only one for that week, so sometimes you need to remember this report may only represent 1% of the people present in such a week. Do your research; we believe that your expectations will be right on target.
