First time Hedo 3 trip, July
13, 2002 - July 20, 2002.
My girlfriend, Sherliza, and I flew out of Newark N.J. at 7:00 am on a nonstop
flight to Jamaica. We landed a little after 10:00 am. We only had to
wait in the Immigration line about 5 minutes and pretty much just walked through
customs. We found the Super Clubs desk and were immediately put in a van
with two other couples. I tipped the man who loaded out luggage 3 dollars
and he seemed very grateful. I have no problem tipping people especially
in a poor country where people are struggling to earn a living.
The ride to Hedo 3 was about an Hour and a half. It is a little scary at
first, until you get used to Jamaican driving, but it wasnt as bad as I thought
it would be. No one at the airport or on the bus tried to sell us drugs.
The driver was very nice and gave us a nice running commentary on Jamaica and
the towns we passed through. The scenic drive is a nice way to see the
"real Jamaica" outside the walls of the resorts.
Once we arrived at Hedo 3 at about 12:30pm. We had to wait about 2 hours for a
room, since most people dont check out and rooms arent clearned until after
2:00pm. The front desk told us to get something to eat so we walked around
Hedo 3 and exlpored. The Jerk Burgers at the Scotch Bonnet restaurant are
excellent as is the view.
The Landscaping is beautiful and Lush. The resort is compact and cozy, so
you dont have to walk far to get anywhere. You appreciate this on those
drunken late night walks to and from your room. By the way, the weather
was perfect. I was afraid of Hurricane season and rain. But everyday
was sunny and hot and the nights warm and starlit. It rained only one day
for only two hours. I heard the hurricane or rainy season dosent start
until late July early August through September.
I recommend bringing a number of bathing suits, since you will be in or around
water constantly. A few pairs of shorts, and maybe a couple of nice shirts
and a pair of Khakis for dinner and that is all you need. If you intend on
going to one of the Theme nights, then bring the outfit. The resort
supplies the sheets for Toga night. All other theme nights you supply the
outfit. Speaking of theme nights. The best night was toga night. It
was the wildest and almost everyone dressed the part. Pajama night and
bare as you dare were okay. Because no matter how much they threaten you
about not letting you in the disco if you dont dress for that particular theme
night, it is not true. No one checks, people wore anything they wanted,
which took away from the theme nights.
Other than that, the Disco was pretty good. I saw a few couples having
quick oral sex in the darken corners. Lots of g-strings and some topless women
dancing in the Cage, including My very drunk girlfriend. As for public
sex, my one week had a pretty tame crowd. In the hot tub at night, on the
nude side I saw three men getting oral sex from three women. Another couple on
the nude beach, during the day engaging in oral sex, and a couple screwing in
the Quad pool hot tub late at night. But mostly couples were just talking
drinking and enjoying the hot nights. My girlfriend and I had a very romantic
encounter on the nude beach late at night. She opted to just walk around
the resort topless at night, from the nude side, to the disco, to the main bar
and pool. to the main beach. IT was that Hedo atmosphere. Security
is everywhere and the resort has a very safe atmosphere. If you take into
consideration how everyone stays pretty drunk or tipsy most of the time,
especially at night, and most women walking around nude or semi nude, there
wasnt one argument, scuffle, fight or disagreement that I saw. I guess
people figure they pay to much money for the trip to get thrown out for fighting
and causing a disturbance.
I highly recommend going to dunne river falls and climbing the water fall, and
also the horseback riding trip where you ride the horses while they swim.
Excellent trips as were the guides. The staff at Hedo 3 were friendly,
respectful and professional. The rooms were very nice, clean and the Air
conditioning perfect, because you could turn it off and on. We had no
problems with any bugs. We had a second floor room on the Quad. The
other guest were also friendly and very social. But not pushy. I am
definitely going back and highly recommend the resort.
