Keith & Margaret
We have just returned from our third trip to Hedo
111 and what a blast! We knew more or less what to expect and it is fair to
say that no matter where in the world you go nothing is perfect and problems
will occur, but it is how you deal with them that counts.
Our trip was different this year in that instead
of flying in direct from London Gatwick we decided to break the journey and
have two nights in Miami. The advantage being that we could rest up with the
time difference and instead of arriving late at night and missing out on some
Hedo time we arrived in the early afternoon fresh & ready to party. It was
also good news that we weren't the only ones on the bus for Hedo!! Every other
time we have been given strange looks etc when there were only our hands
up for 'the zoo'
On our arrival we were greeted by our dear friend
Nola who was just coming out of the office. The yells and jumping around in
Reception caused some strange looks from the first timers from the bus but
what the hell, this is Hedo and the staff have become a second family to us.
This is an important point to anyone going to Hedo the place works in the main
because of the way the staff put their hearts & souls into everything. If you
make friends with them and don't treat them as servants they will move heaven
& earth to make your holiday a great one. Hey Mon - Respect!
We are really proud of Nola as when we first
visited Hedo (2000) she was a waitress at the nude area bringing drinks & food
out to the guests wherever they were including wading into the sea. Last year
she was a Supervisor in the dining room and today she is Supervisor for all
the restaurants. Hedo 111 Management sent her and 4 other members of staff on
a management course which they all passed earlier this year. This course was
fully paid for by the Hedo management so top marks to them for encouraging the
guys & girls to get on. (Some resorts made their staff pay to attend the
course).
Our room was ready and as we were emptying the
cases we received a telephone summons from 'Sister Mary Katherine' down by the
nude pool. We dumped the unpacking and in 5 minutes had dirty bananas in our
hands and felt as though we had never left! The 10 days went far too
quickly but we did pack a lot into it.Over the time we could say PDAs were
very evident and in some cases the display was worth an Oscar! This year we
let our hair down much more including Keith leading a male strip trio of him,
Lou & Tim. This being talent night and in the main dining room their
modesty was covered by pouches in the shape of horse's heads and if the
horse's nose was squeezed a neighing sound came out. The 'girls' on the front
row certainly seemed to think it was worth a laugh and scream! Keith says
thank you to the lady who pushed packets of sugar into his thong!! Thanks guys
for an unforgettable experience you can be Keith's partners in 'dance'
anytime! Hey masquerade was fun with Keith being an English (Bobby) Policeman,
with helmet, handcuffs and boxer shorts with the motto of 'Come Quietly' and
very unusual 'night-stick' ! Margaret dressed as a very severe Nanny you would
not believe how many of the boys told how naughty they had been and needed
spanking with the cane!!! and what Margaret did on the piano bar later is for
those who were there to remember only.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary on Saturday
9th with a Renewal of Vows ceremony. Leslie in Guest Relations had arranged it
all and it was wonderful! The Reverend Lawrence is an old sweetie and we will
definitely send him the photo he wanted, his service is very special, Marsha
poured the Champaign excellently and (Sister Mary) Katherine & Lou
were wonderful witnesses and Nola a fantastic Flower Girl and new friends Guy
& Lucy were brilliant in taking our photos. If you want a special wedding or
renewal ceremony then we can't recommend the one they put on at Hedo 111
highly enough Thanks friends.
We ate at the Japanese restaurant for the first
time this year and were very pleasantly surprised. We see now why it is
sometimes hard to book a place, but it was worth it. We also had 4 meals in
the Pastrami which were really good. Omar made us very welcome on the nights
he was there even though we were always part of a party of 8 and not always so
easy to seat. We will give you advance warning next year Omar about the
whipping or double cream for the 'Irish Coffees'. The rest of the evening
meals we had in the main dining room or outside on the terrace when the beach
party and circus nights were on. You could see what a lot of effort had been
put into these times by all the staff and they all keep on smiling and being
helpful though they must have been very tired. Lunch was at the nude bar
except we visited the Scotch Bonnet on our anniversary which was good.
We must mention some names here of the staff who
really went the extra mile to make our holiday so good: Nola, always friendly,
happy, helpful, efficient and one of the main reasons we keep going back, it
was very hard to wish you goodbye but we'll see you next year: David on
Reception - problems - No problems Mon - Mr Fix it with a smile, thanks David:
Hosena Dive Master at the Dive Shop one of the most professional and dedicated
people you could meet, thank you for getting me certified in less than a week:
Sereena, Antoinette & Suzette at the nude bar, always cheerful and with a
special way (Sereena) to cool down anyone who needs it! Leslie for our wedding
renewal and the help you gave us: Marsha both at the renewal and in the dining
room: Michelle from PR for showing us how 'hopefully' we can get a cheaper
airfare next year: Kevin excursion Manager always a cheerful greeting and for
remembering us from last year : Sean, Romeo, Teddy Bear, Bootylicious and the
rest of the Entertainment Team we had some good games and times with you and
your dances were as always fantastic - we still think it unfair you expect the
guests to catch you up! and hey who but you guys could vote for Margaret to be
the most virginal at the PJ party after 34 years of marriage and 3 times at
Hedo!! Hey Kevin Levee General Manager - Thanks Kevin for making it such a
great resort, for backing your staff and being prepared to pull strings to
make things go right for the guests and thanks to everyone we may not have
known the names of but without you all Hedo 111 would not be the same.
As for friends we met there, well Hedo friends
turn out the best! We may not have caught everyone's name, but we will
remember you all and look out for you next year. Those on our list of culprits
whose names we do remember Lou & Katherine, thanks for 'standing up' for us it
was great to be with you again ( we are sorry you weren't very well 'Sister'
with that awful cough etc, hope you are back in the pink now) and to meet
Rhonda & Ralph & Tim & Patti during our first few days we have got to get
together again. Tim you did good on the strip especially as you were dropped
in it by Keith & Lou at the last minute thanks guys it was great. Anne & Glenn
we were only just getting to know you but we had fun and must get together
again next year Jay & Carmela, first timers and what a special couple! We will
remember Carmela's screams as she went down the waterslide for ever
and the 'whup, whup, whup' almost a climax but over too soon! You will remain
very special friends always and Guy & Lucy, what can we say, you are the best
and words are not enough. It proves that getting to know strangers over the
internet via Denny's page is really worthwhile. Thanks for your encouragement
to obtain Keith's diving certification and the all the fun we had at all the
nights. Hopefully we will meet all the above and anyone we have forgotten to
mention, again next year.
Hedo is a special place where for a few days you
can be as wild as you wish without fear. Life needs a place like that to
continue with individual thought and to share it with true friends just makes
it even more worthwhile.
Thanks to everyone who we met and if you are
reading this and considering going to Hedo 111 for the first time, we would be
pleased to answer any questions. Finally Denny, thanks for your site, what a
guy!
Irie, Respect
