Joseph & Jeanette - February, 2002

Trip Report:  February 9 – 14, 2002

Background:

This was our first trip to any Hedonism resort.  We used it as the honeymoon we never had, and after ten years of marriage it was worth the wait!  When most people hear the word hedonism, your mind immediately starts on its erotic tour of uninhibited sex orgies or you just don’t know what it is. (for the later I am truly sorry, for you just don’t know what your missing)  I’m hear to tell you that it IS and ISN’T.  We had the most spectacular time of our marriage.  It truly is what you make of it.  For us it was sexy, romantic, fun, lustful, and the list goes on and on, we WILL be going back!

Sorry my mind was wandering for a minute, for the most part this will be pretty basic trip report.  Before we went we read almost every trip report posted on Denny’s site.  I suggest you do the same, there is some really great info and tips from them.

Flight:

The flight was pretty good, no big hassles to get through customs (and we used birth certs. not passports – didn’t come in time).  The real hit comes when you walk outside the airport in Jamaica!  I must have had STONER written on my forehead because I was almost molested by the local populace to purchase herbals – 9 separate people within ten minutes (cab drivers) and one right in front of the security officer whom just politely smiled at him and me.  Do what you want but I would wait till you get to were you are going.

Drive:

This was the best ride in the park!  It is like driving in one of the rally races with a bus!  My suggestion is if you get the chance take one of the medium bus’s not the big charter bus’s, these are more fun and smaller.  All but one couple was going to hedo so it was a very fun trip.  Our driver was great, told jokes, little bit of history, and the famous stop to get a beer- (which was good because everyone needed a bathroom break!)

Hedo:

When we arrived at the resort, it was like stepping into silicon valley – Cheri magazine was there doing a big photo shoot, and I got punched in the ribs by my wife! (all in fun).  Turns out this was there last day there and they put on a fabulous strip show that night.  The entire trip seems like one long day broken up by patches of naps.  The resort was beautiful, weather- beautiful and so forth.

We immediately filled our rather large cups we brought, great idea! Read about in other trip reports, and went to the nude beach to see if we really could be comfortable with our cloths off.  The beach is a perfect place for nubee’s to start as it is the least crowded place.  It took all of five minutes and then it was the most natural thing in the world. (really after our first conversation with a couple that just happened to be walking by.)  Turns out that this was the minister and his wife there for the big nude wedding.

This was the most surprising thing we encountered there, EVERYONE was nice!  It took a little getting used to being from the D.C. area.  Most were everyday average people.  We did correspond with a few people before getting there and finally met up with them the next day, Jim and Tracy – heh!! Write ya soon!  I feel bad because when you spend the majority of your time on the nude side you never seem to have a pen and paper with you to get emails and so forth and I am the worst when it comes to names.  So to all the wonderful people and couples Jeanette and I met we say thank you for making our first time a great experience, and we will write you (just been a little busy getting back to real life).

There are several things that you should do while you are at the resort; 1st try all of the drinks! 2nd do the water slide naked – (I couldn’t get enough of it!)  3rd have fun at the disco nights – pj party was the best!  (we won first place for the best DOM and SUB outfit) and last, introduce yourself to people.  Just about anyone will talk to you if you strike up a conversation, and you will meet some of the most interesting people – we met a palm reader, a tantric love master (who taught a course on the dock- it was great!), a wonderful Dutch German couple, and quite a few French Canadians.

There is something for everyone there nudists, swingers, and prudes.  And people are not pushy, they will ask you if you enjoy certain activities but if you say no they will be just fine and continue to talk to you.  And to those of you who write the trip reports and do nothing but bitch, no place is perfect but this is the closest I have ever seen, go with the attitude of I’ll make the best of what ever and you will have the time of your life!  There is so much more but it would fill a book, just suffice it to say that do not let any of your preconceived notions of what you think it is get in your way, you must experience it first hand.

Staff:

It makes you feel bad that you cannot tip these people because they bust there ass’s for you, everyone from the grounds crew to the bartenders to the event staff.  The schedule of activities posted here is rarely followed, you just have to be at the right place at the right time.  Get to know your event staff they are nice people and will really enhance your experience, we did not meet most until the day before we left, our loss.

Home:

On your last day when people know you are leaving they come out of the wood work and give you hugs, say goodbye, sorry to see you go and it is all heartfelt.  I read quite a few trip reports about people crying when they left and now I see why. (We were trying to figure out how to stay!)  It’s funny because when you get home you try to make that feeling last for as long as you can, and it is hard to keep your cloths on!  We have found our yearly trip destination!  Again, thanks to all the wonderful people we met we will be getting in touch as soon as we can.  Just remember “No problem in Jamaica, only situation.”
