Jim & Karen - July, 2002

Trip Report

July 5th, 2002- July 12th, 2002

I’m not going to bore you with all of the boring details of air travel between Kennedy Airport and Montego Bay.  The flight was smooth and we breezed through customs.  We were briskly wisked away by the Super Clubs transfer people.  An hour and a half later (the bus ride!) we were walking in the door and were ready to start our vacation.

Check-In

Check in was very smooth and our bags were brought to our room (422) promptly.  It was not on the nude beach but it was adequate.  The room was very clean and Karen especially liked the bathtub.  The air conditioning was more than adequate and even at times very cold.  We had no complaints about the room.  We enjoyed our accommodations.

First Day

After quickly unpacking, we put our suits on and decided to wander down to the Quad pool.  Since it was our first time at a nude resort we figured the quad pool was a good place to start.  In no time Karen was topless and had an interest in the nude area, which we did not pursue until nighttime.   We could give you a day-by-day synopsis of our experiences but it would turn into a book.

Food

Don’t go there expecting gourmet food!  Expect good, plentiful edible food.  We ate primarily at the Buffet and once at the Japanese Restaurant.  They were very good.  We especially liked the desserts.  Also, Scotch Bonnet was a great place to get a bite to eat.  Nice location, too!

The Naked Experience

Naked is definitely the way to go.  If you are hesitant about going nude, get over it and just do it.  It might take some people longer to accept this “naked” thing, as did Karen, but when you finally do it your vacation turns into a whole new experience.  No one judges you on appearances just the quality of the person.  We met a lot of people who were very friendly, open and a lot of fun.  PDA’s -yes they do happen!  But after the first initial shock, it seems to be normal and if you don’t want to see it just walk away.  You MUST go down the slide naked-what a rush!

Involvement

Definitely get involved in games and other fun activities.  You must paint a rock but bring your own brushes.  You earn tickets for getting involved but we had no clue as to what to do with the tickets until the last day.  Do get involved in all of the theme nights.  The disco was not that happening- we were disappointed.  But, everything else was just fine.

In Conclusion

If you have an open mind, and like a lot of fun, and are not up tight, stuffy person, this place is for you.  You may read some packing list information and there are some things that you should definitely bring.  They are: not a lot of clothes, large insulated mugs, an inflatable pool toy raft, a wide assortment of sexy outfits, a paintbrush, and a good attitude.  Some things you do not need to bring are:  a lot of clothes, and most of the medical supplies.  For us, this was a life changing experience.  We would definitely go back to HEDO III again and be naked for a week!
