First of all thank you to Denny for this web site. Without it I am not sure we would have had enough items or information to make our vacation the best ever. I do recommend using the visitors section to email some people ahead of time, this way you can make friends before going and save a few days trying to get comfortable with new friends. For being the first trip here we had everything needed.
The flight in on US Air was without incident and arrived on time. The transfer to the Hotel was perfect. the only thing we were leery about was the fact we had a guy ask us if we wanted beers and when we ordered he had us come outside and told us to leave the bags down by the Super Clubs desk. Good old USA thinking kicked in and I thought uh oh there goes our stuff. But we tipped $5.00 and one of the guys stood by our bags until our beers were gone and we were ready to rock. One of the people in our foursome was approached as soon as we made our way downstairs at the airport for the purchase of ganja...no force just a question. Tell them no and it is no problem mon..tell them yes and it is still no problem mon( from what we were told). The bus ride was about 1 hour 30 minutes including a stop for Red Stripe/Smirnoff's. The drivers are very polite and love to be talked to also , so make sure you talk to them and have fun they are a blast. We did what was suggested and gave him a tip equal to a dollar per bag and he was very happy and helpful.
The days at the resort were all unbelievable. Each day started out with a morning of ummm a small amount of hang over and a large amount of anticipation. We did a little of each activity i.e.. snorkling,glass bottom boat, pool , tanning, volleyball etc. We would suggest taking part in the games the entertainment staff provide as this made the days wild and fun. We won loads of Hedo bucks on top of rum and wine.
The Entertainment staff is great . We had lunch with Romeo one day and he filled us in on most of the resort info and all the happenings including the long hours they work trying to keep us going and going. He is always willing to talk as was Sean and Teddy Bear. Make sure you get the chance to chat with them as they love to talk.
The room was far better than we expected. Everything was perfect and when we did have a problem with the toilet one day , engineering was down in 15 mins. and had it fixed. Now the phone service sucks most of the time even when a deposit is paid. AT & t phone card worked by dialing 872 and then you 800 number....every time. The cleaning staff always filled our coffee and the towels were always ready. Check in was a bit of an adventure but they were busy so no problem mon.
PDA's were all around especially on the pussy fountain. Normally security let it go for a long while before they stopped it. Here is my problem with the place. We wanted to go out on the pier or nude beach at 3 am for some romance and security stopped things , nobody else was out just us and bam nailed, but at 4pm in front of 30 people it was ok to slam it home whenever the exhibitionists wanted to. So my thinking is lust is ok romance is not..just be prepared. Single guys were mostly pains. The single girls were awesome and never a problem. We saw several single guys get right into the middle of some PDA's and make it so much BS it wasn't worth sticking around for. Even late at night at the nude hot tub the single guys hovered over the wife's of the couples and no not all the single guys were bad just the majority.
Wedding renewals are perfect at H3. We did ours and Leslie made it wonderful. Hard to imagine at this type of resort but it was truly perfect. Flowers, champagne, cake everything. Mike and Teri thanks for standing up for us. Firedog(the photo guy) and Princess, Ralph and Gayle thanks for being there.
The best part of this whole trip was the friendships made. If you go there thinking hell I will do whatever because I will never see these people again, my guess is wrong. Without meeting Mike and Teri, Ralph and Gayle and Bobbi and Anna I am not too sure this trip would have been anything like it was. Thanks guys for making our first time perfect. I know we will be friends for a long time and am sure we will travel to H3 again together.
Overall everything was great and we will do it again as soon as we can. If anybody has questions you can email us whenever and we can try to answer them.
