Hedo III (forth trip)

Travel Stuff

Travel is just a necessary evil to get there for me. This trip was with U.S. Air and after the last trip I wasn't expecting much. All in all though they were much better than the last trip.

Arrival

Got to the resort around 4pm and were assigned room 221 and 222. Check in went smooth and after all it’s just a place to shower and sleep. Would have preferred the 600 or 700 block but we did get rooms next door to each other so it's okay. They promised to move us over the weekend but we forgot about it by then. Getting in on a Wednesday with the kink group there plus the Wild Bunch just wasn't a good time to get a room choice. After a couple days we just figured it was easier to stay with the rooms we had. Besides we would probably not get rooms next to each other if we moved.

Seeing old friends

Got to see some of the people from the Wild Bunch that we knew from other trips. Chip and Ana, Doug and Shelly, and Harold and Shelly you are the best. We missed Laurel and Andy because they had to leave early to get Andy back for some medical attention. And or course there's the people at the resort that make it so nice to go back each time. Most people see the beauty of the island in the trees and flowers and the bright blue of the ocean, we see that too but the real beauty of the island for us is her people. From the welcome home hug I got from Leslie to the handshakes and warm greetings from the rest of people that remembered us it made the long day flying and all of the rest of the things involved with getting ready for the trip seem so small.

Weather

After all the rain on the last two trips we needed some good weather to remember why we started going there in the first place. Mother Nature did not disappoint us. We had beautiful weather with just a couple times where it would cloud up and rain for a brief period then the sun would return. It did cloud up and rain the day we were checking out but it's a depressing day anyway so no problem.

Halloween with the Kink In The Caribbean Group

Halloween is a big event at Hedo and we went with window decorations and costumes in our bags so we could be more of a part than we were last year. Last year we didn't know we were going to stay for it and had to try and come up with something out of the stuff we had. Had a great time with window decorations and the costume party was a lot of fun. Dawn won second place in the most hedonistic and got a 5 day stay. Carolyn would have had a better chance in a category by herself since I am not as comfortable on stage as she.

It’s different being there with the Kink Group. Sure you still have the sounds of the ocean, the music from all around, and of course the tree frogs but all that is punctuated by the sounds of whips cracking. We didn’t get to spend much time with them since we got in at the end of their week but we did get to talk to a few of the members and it was interesting to say the least.

Wild Woman’s Week

We booked this trip through First Travel and they sponsor Wild Woman’s Week. The week is geared toward letting women who are either Bi or Bi curious have a chance to meet others with like minds. The timing of our trip to coincide with the Wild Woman’s week was more or less an accident. Mostly we wanted to meet Robert and Beth from First Travel since they have treated us so well. And yes we were a little curious just what went on during that week. We did make it to the meet and greet but had to leave early since we had already booked dinner at the Pastafari. As for any details about the rest of it well you know the rules by now, what happens at Hedo should stay at Hedo.

What Else Did We Do?

Took the ATV ride up the mountain and then Dunn’s River Falls to wash the dust off. All in all it was a fun trip and the view from the stop at the end of the trail was awe inspiring. You could see the coastline and the ocean for many miles in both directions and also the hills below dotted with homes and long unused mining equipment. It was a pretty rough trip and I wouldn’t recommend it for everyone. They keep a pretty fast pace up and down the trail and a little previous experience riding an ATV would help. They did do a very thorough job of making sure everyone was familiar with the machine before the trip and you do get to practice a while before you hit the trail.

Spent an afternoon off the resort hanging with some Jamaican friends and sharing their day off with them. This was probably the most fun thing I have done off the resort. We were honored to be invited to share a small part of their lives and even though they could be fired for it and we didn’t want to cause them trouble the risk of offending them by declining the offer was too great. We have been invited out by members of the staff before and always declined because we did not want to cause them any trouble.

We had fun with the theme nights and even though they were kinda messed up by Halloween it was still fun. Just didn’t feel right wearing a Toga on Friday. Good news is that Bare As You Dare is supposed to be coming back to the schedule.

Okay I Know…

The ever popular PDA sighting report. Seems to be happening everywhere around the resort these days. Saw a lot of girl on girl action in of all places the Piano bar. Most of it still occurs in the nude pool area or pier and more and more now it’s during the day. Saw several noteworthy displays and for the most part security didn’t rain on their parade. One of the more notable happened our second toga party night where one of the couples in the best couple toga had a brief BJ session before the EC’s broke them up. Main stage at the toga party is daring to say the least. I guess there was enough to see to keep the average voyeur happy while not so heavy as to offend those that do not want to see it.

Problems!

In every trip there are always negatives. Richard and Dawn’s room was missing both the clock and the radio/cd player. Our room didn’t have a remote for the AC. Nude hot tub and pool had some problems that closed them for a couple nights. But you know what add all of it together and it doesn’t amount to anything. Minor inconveniences at worst. Besides when the nude bar closed those two nights we had prime real estate over there in the 200 building overlooking the quad hot tub.

Things that will only mean something to a small group…

Running with the big dogs, "I want the whole f’in tree", "Just fifteen minutes!", Flies on the wall, Happy Penis, "You are bad girls", "Gotta Go, Gotta go now".

Ten Days and That’s all ya got?

There are lots more things I remember very well but can’t or don’t want to share here. After all it’s supposed to stay at Hedo right! And there was a lot of time spent just laying I the sun pondering the next libation and listening to the sounds. The steady crash of the surf on the rocks, the gentle rustling of the trees and branches, Faint echoes of steel drums, and a loud whip crack followed by a moan of Pain?, Pleasure?, or Both?
