Hedonism III

Travel Stuff

First (and most likely last) trip with U.S. Airways. Let’s just say it wasn’t a pleasant experience and leave it at that.

Arrival At The Resort

As soon as we got off the bus we were greeted by Christine with a big hug and “Welcome Home”. Check in was as usual Our room was ready but Dawn and Richard will have to wait, no biggie we toss the bags in the door of our room and head for the Piano Bar to meet up with the rest of the wild bunch at the welcome party. Had a great time with the naughty gift exchange led by Dawn.

Entertainment Staff

At first the group seems pretty much the same. Carol (Tina Turner) is gone and we are going to miss her but Romeo, Lacy, Teddy Bear, and Sean are there so we still know most of the Entertainment Staff.

The two new faces are Bootylicious and TEK. Didn’t really ever get a chance to talk to either of them. They spend most of their time talking to single guys in the dining room and only rarely join in the games, and they looked like they were forced to do it then.

Then things change for the worse, Romeo and Lacy take off on a business trip, and Teddy Bear goes on vacation. We did not see any games or organized effort to break the boredom caused by the rain for a week.

Weather

After our first day there we did not see the sun again for six days. At least we had some old friends to talk to and enough things to do to keep from being too bored. Would have been much harder on a couple traveling by themselves the first time. We also had the wild bunch activities to liven things up a bit. Not all bad we did get vouchers for four days to use on the next trip.

People we met

We’d like to thank the following people for helping make our vacation fun; All of the wild bunch members and in particular Harold and Shelly, Dana and Bev, Matt and Greta, Admiral Andy and Laurel, and Andy and Cheryl.

And a special thank you to the members of the Bubbly Bares for taking us in after our group had left. The invitation to the private dinner with your group and Kevin was much appreciated. Do you think the Breezes VP will remember the drink he got from Carolyn in the piano bar? Compared to your group they should call us the Mild Bunch!

Jamaican Friends

If you go to Hedo tell the following people hello for us. Alrick Bentley in the piano bar, David Dacosta (does all of the carvings on the buffet), Renford Williams bar manager, David Barham bar supervisor (days), David Jackson bar supervisor (nights), Michael Scarlett midnight buffet grill man, Kavin Spencer bartender, Curtroy Reed bartender, Glen Kin piano man, and anyone else you might run across. Just say Carolyn and Dawn said hello and if they smile they remember us.

Most all of the people there work long hours and by our standards are paid next to nothing. Taking a few minutes out of your day to talk to them and find out a little about them will pay you back in ways you can’t imagine. One word of caution though, it makes it that much harder to leave. On our last night there Alrick got to close the piano bar a little early and we got to spend a little time with him away from the bar. He is becoming one of my closest friends even though I don’t get to see him more than twice a year.

What everyone wants to know!

PDA’s yes there were several sightings. Probably would have been more without the rain but you never know. For those that want to try and talk your other half into doing such a thing try the line “You’re my Jamaican Princess” worked real well for a guy in the hot tub one afternoon. Next thing we knew they were off on a lounge chair away from the main crowd having a great time. And for the really exhibitionist types out there try doing a fountain show like the cute little blond girl did for us one afternoon, she was very drunk and very uninhibited. Did about 30 minutes on the fountain and from the looks of it had a good time! And of course there was a lot of oral sex in the hot tub or around it. There was one afternoon when there was quite a bit of Girl on Girl activity with three or four different girls.

What did we do with all the rain going on?

Well we had planned on going to all of the theme nights in the disco and even brought outfits for all of the nights we were going to be there. Things change though, we did hit the disco the first couple nights for 70’s, PJ and Bare as you dare, but it just felt like a chore after a while. After being there twice last year for 17 days total and doing another ten this trip its beginning to feel too much like we are the entertainment for the prudes and singles or locals that do not dress for the party. PJ night should be like Hedo II where they check you at the door and if you are not in PJ’s you’re not in the disco either.

Carolyn and Dawn were having so much fun working behind the bar at the piano bar that most nights we just stayed there until it closed. They would help Alrick make drinks when he was busy and if not more than likely they would be up on the bar dancing or helping another girl shed her inhibitions (and clothes) and get them up there dancing too. I think they talked something like 8 other women into dancing naked on the piano bar.

For those that wonder why they chose to tend bar on their vacation its like this. They found out early on it was the best way to meet new people. Besides you should see the look on the faces of people that walk in expecting to find a Jamaican behind the bar when they see two blond girls usually in very short dresses behind the bar.

All things considered another great trip for us and yes we will be back. Hopefully the first week of November for Wild Woman’s Week.

Sadly where this used to have a link to the Wild Bunch, there is now a message saying that we are no longer going to be a part of that group. We will cherish the friendships we have made and dwell not on the negative manner in which this relationship ended.
