Hedo III is the best kept secret in the caribbean. Ninety degree days and seventy degree nights with young people running around in the wee hours of the morning looking to relieve some of the stress they built up in the States. The staff made the whole long weekend worth the trip. Steve the bus driver, Cornelius our waiter, Roxy our event coordinator, the entire front desk staff, Junior and friends at the main bar. Cudos to the entire staff.

Plenty to do but chilling out was the main goal. Bring a book, a pair of sunglasses, sunscreen and a smile.......that's all you need!

It was my first time to HedoIII and Jamaica so I invited some old friends to join me. The night started out at the dinner buffet as we toasted to friendship over a grand bottle of Veuve Clicquot that I had brought from the states. We then moved over to the piano bar and watched one of the ten rudby team perform the title song to Annie "the sun will come out tomorrow" while stipping, the audience in laughter and tears. The women in the front row got thier monies worth.

Before you knew it, the first day had pasted and we're sitting in the Quad jacuzzi butt naked with about 15 others smokin a dubbie and looking at the stars at 2:30 a.m. Does it get any better?

Day two started out by hanging aroung the nude pool. Plenty of young 20 and 30 somethings just chillin soaking up the rays. It was a good looking crowd. Have plenty of drinks, they make great frozen mudslides and strawberry dacquiris.

Note:For other first timers with the nude thing, get to the beach or pool by 10 a.m. and bare all. it's much easier and funnier watching others work up the courage to drop'em. Don't forget the sunscreen.

Note:For the veterans, please don't reserve a chair by placing a towel on it and leaving for hours on end. Be courtious and let others join in on the party, You know who you are!

Thank God for the N.Y. couple that brought a c.d. player with some remixes of house and pop music. It was a great day by the pool. Thanks everyone for the good carma.

That afternoon we went out sea kayaking and returned to the main bar. At 4 p.m. a large group of co-ed volleyball players, butt naked decided to make a conga line through the resort to go down the water slide, a.k.a. boob tube. Well, like they say, when in Rome!

After recruiting a few more around the main bar, it ended up being about thirty naked people cheering the next one down with a big high five from your friends at the bottom. That afternoon continued in the disco with co-ed musical chairs and a few other contests which are still fuzzy at the moment. Drink plenty of cocktails! If you forget how to groove, Roxy will help!

After many a cocktail, we ended up at the quad jacuzzi, AGAIN! Realizing that I had forgot my bathing suit(haha) AGAIN! I was the idiot who landed on his back after coming off the wood of a dry bridge and hitting the wet surface of tile. Thanks to the ones who got me up and to my room. (Note: I've been to the Doctor's and I scheduled an M.R.I. for next week. The painkillers are working fine right now)

After getting no sleep because of the pain, I made my way to nude pool to see it mostly empty except for some 40 and 50 somethings and alot of towels reserving seats. (see note to veterans above)

We decide to back to the Quad pool and spend our day there. Although this area is not considered a "nude area" during the day, I wasn't going to take let that stop me so off they came. Many of the other younger crowd ended up at Quad pool on Sunday afternoon. The others ended up looking at towels.

Monday was an early day on the beach watching Roxy recruiting people to join in a game of co-ed naked beach croquet. After lunch and packing before noon, we were off to say our good-bys to some of our favorite staff and take care of them, with much respect.

Without getting any of the staff in trouble, these Hedo employees work very hard for thier money. After many conversations with them, I was amazed to learn that they live on approx. 1400 Jamican currency a week or about $40.00 American Dollars. A ten, twenty or fifty goes a long way so that can improve thier living conditions not to mention it's the right thing to do - R.E.S.P.E.C.T

I wish I found this place fifteen years ago. Playboy channel is advertizing it on a nightly basis and it's my prediction that it won't be a gaurded secret much longer. I can see it becoming a weekend getaway for the twenty and thirty somethings looking to let loose and have some fun.

Final Note:Go as a couple, go alone, go with a friend, take a friend or go as a group. You'll come back and everything looks a little better and you'll find yourself smiling for no other reason but the memories of the first time you visited HedoIII Jamaica. Peace mon.
