HEDO
III .... We went, WE LOVED IT, WE ARE GOING BACK !
Arrival
at the resort :
Met immediately and given
instructions, in 10 minutes we were in our room. 732,
its not 600 block but an excellent in between for 1st timers.
Room
:
Having stayed at San Souci last year we were bracing for a let down. We
couldnt have been more wrong. TV, Cd Player, New remote air conditioner,
consistent water ( hot and cold ), a good view and the room was bigger. Oh the
blinds in the shower, we never pulled them down although they are there.
Now the important differences
that makes the rooms at H3 better than a LIDO, mirrors on the ceiling ( do not
underestimate their “power” ), and a grecian jetted tub that came in handy
one of the rainy mornings.
Prude
Side :
This resort doesn’t cater to prudes ( our humble opinion ) . The beach
is not raked daily, has a big ugly yellow wall behind it as well as the
trapeze in the middle of it. The big plus for the prude side is access to the
dining room & Scotch Bonnet ( you have to walk to one to get a drink ) and
of course the slide.
Nude
Side :
Well maintained ( immaculate
), good size pool, and the hot tub is adequate. Be careful around the pool at
night, the tile tables “look” to be a landing and easy stepping distance
from the side, it is slick and 4 feet deep around it ( there is more to the
story, but I will leave it there for now ).
Even though the bar is set up
for those that are in the pool, Suzzette, Ann Marie and company had no problem
in being quick and efficient with every request. A side note : REMEMBER their
names it will come in handy, they enjoy being recognized for a job well done
like the rest of us.
Nude
Beach :
TOO SMALL. And yes the locals
will come to the pier to sell you something, a simple no thanks is all it
took.
Disco
:
Great music a good place to
work up a sweat for an hour or two.
Activities
:
We didn’t do many, but here
are the ones we did.
TOGA : Was a geat night. The
wife won the contest, less is better!
BODY SHOTS : Game was a little
tame , so we created our own version, the only trouble was getting the girls
off the float for the next turn.
BODY PAINTING : If Romeo does
your painting he does an outstanding job ! My wife would go back just for this
one experience ( especially if he had his feather brushes :) )
The
PEOPLE
This is what made the trip. The staff : Nola, Suzzette, Ann Marie and Romeo...absolutely wonderful. Take some time to watch the staff when you are there, notice how many are there when you get up at 9am and still working at 2am, long days, but they do an outstanding job.
Met some great people, I wont
list them all here. Just one couple....Steve and Christy you helped make this
a vacation one we will never forget. Thanks for making us feel welcome, and we
hope to see you again someday.
