Philip & Jane

Jane & Philip “Cave Dwellers”  June  9 –16th.

This was out third trip since October 2000

It wasn’t until we got to the Airport in Houston that we realized what a horrendous situation the city was in. Friday night we had driven into Houston and yes it was pouring and yes the weather was the only thing on the news, but the impact really showed up when we made our way from the hotel to the terminal by the train, the next morning. People were sleeping everywhere. In our hotel corridors, the walkways to the terminals, the departure lounges. It looked like a disaster area. Even though our flight was delayed 5 hrs, we considered ourselves lucky cause so many did not even get out that day or the next!  Nice flight, although we had breakfast food, cause that is what we were supposed to get at 8.a.m.!!

Arrival

Arrival in Mobay was pretty much the standard stuff, although this time we had brought something for one of the nude pool bartenders so we had to go through the “Goods to declare” line. What a drag that was!! Still, 20 minutes later we were standing with new- found friends, waiting for our bus. Little did we know that, shortly, we would be having such outrageous fun with most of them!! (Well, actually, we did)

We had expected to join 4 or 5 couples from our Yahoo “ Cave Dwellers” site, but of course we were late but enjoyed the ride with others that were headed for Hedo III and one couple going to G.L. Braco. The bus was full and we did the red stripe thing once and finally arrived close to 6pm. Just as we turned off the main road to Hedo III, I spotted Antoinette, one of the bartenders and the bus driver stopped so that we could have a “hello” hug. We had arrived home and we were so happy!!

Check-In

Our adopted daughter, Ann Marie from the nude bar met us in the Lobby and after a little re-acquaintance time we were ready to get a room.

In spite of at least 8 or so couples checking in at the same time, they dealt with us quickly and within 15 minutes they were carting our bags off to the room. We could not wait for them to do the rounds and so we left and headed off to the nude pool and our room, hoping to meet others that we knew from the photos we had all posted on the Internet. Sure enough as soon as we got to the pool, her come Annette & Eddie, chanting cave dwellers chants! We hugged our new children (Philip is “Daddy” & Jane is “Mommy”) and got caught up on info as to who was here etc. David & Brenda lee were also there and later we met Russell & Deann, Hugh & Judy, Bill & Lorraine and also renewed our acquaintance with many of the bartenders and entertainment co-coordinators. They all remembered us and greeted us like we were family!!

The Room

Thanks to my travel agent, David, from All The Way Travel, we were actually given the exact room that we had requested - 615. Boy, what a way to start!! It is a great location and one step outside your door and you are at the nude pool and a couple more and the nude beach is right there. Fan in the bathroom did not work and they actually never got around to fixing it, but we remember how noisy it was anyway and just blew it off. Later on that evening we got our complimentary champagne and flowers. Just the trick to round off a great arrival.

The Fun and Tattoos

This is what you make of it and because we were already an established Yahoo club, it was easy to have fun together, but then that also encouraged others to join us. Eddie and Annette(Directors of Marketing and Advertising for the group) had procured “Cave Dweller” temporary tattoos. These were in incredible demand throughout the week and between Eddie and myself, we probably personally applied at least a hundred on various ladies body parts!! We thoroughly enjoyed this and used varying techniques to get them wet depending on how gullible the particular lady was. My technique usually involved the tongue! We also gave some away to guys, as well, but we would not apply those ourselves! Not to say how many others were and still are being applied as I write this. Knowing that this would be a tremendous hit, they had special ordered 1100 of them, so as not to disappoint anyone.

Mardi Gras Beads

Again, these were in plentiful supply,(thanks again to all those that brought them) but you had to do something to earn these, as many of the ladies discovered and also obliged. There were several trips to the “Cave” that resulted in some happy lady coming out of there with beads, but having gone in with none and of course she was usually followed by a male Cave Dweller with a big grin on his face and a raft in front of him!

Seemed like a lot of people like to be Cave Dwellers, so we just kept tattooing and beading them for as long as they wanted it. There were no exceptions, very few negative responses and some incredible techniques.

Glow lights and sticks and hearts and stars

Gina & Rick brought the neatest glowing stuff. One night they handed out hearts with the Cave Dwellers tattoos on them and everyone wanted one!! Then on Toga and Entertainment night they gave us all “Stars” and for our group dinner on Friday we got “Halo’s to hang around our necks and little straws to put in our mouths( was only later that I read the warning label “ Do not put in mouth!!) These were all glow sticks and without a doubt we were the envy of the place. I know these things are not cheap and they must have spent a small fortune considering that they bought so many of them!!!

This really made for some incredible fun, if you are going,  find out where to get them and do it. It really picks things up a notch!

The People

Our group consisted of the most friendly and loving people that Jane & I have met since we went with the Trouble Tribe in February. We bonded almost at once, played so well together and just fell in love with everyone. But it was not just the Cave Dwellers, everybody we met became instant friends. And if we got a little rowdy (Philip did, Eddie did, Dave(Kewlldude) did and still is) J , either no one cared or they were too polite to say anything. We don’t remember offending anyone, except I got a few strange looks in the disco when I danced naked on the pole several nights and in the cage and during some of the more risqué on stage events where I obviously let go totally!! We will talk more about the people later, because they were so wonderful.

The Events and Theme nights

We tried to join in with pretty much everything and felt that the Cave Dwellers put in a good showing overall. 70’s night a bunch of us ate at Munahana and that was a blast. We had guys in wild outfits that night. Eddie & Jack were dressed as bad bad boys from the wrong side of town and we had a couple of ladies (names withheld to protect them) who left little to the imagination .

P.J. night and Bare as you dare night we came out in full force and walked away with a lot of prizes. These are the two events that can really come alive at Hedo III. The disco was rockin many of the nights that we were there and we even think that they missed judging outfits on 70’s night cause so many people were dancing and having fun!! Toga night was the usual and for the talent portion of the show we managed to get a dozen or so Cave Dwellers to do a strip tease to the tune of “Hooked on a Feeling” (Ooga Chakka). Masquerade was the last night for a lot of us and we had a group dinner at Pastafari (40 people) where most of us came dressed in “Cave Men” outfits. The restaurant staff were a little leery of us, but we were not too rowdy, so all was OK. They did a relatively good job considering that there were so many of us at one time, although some had not eaten their main course while we were having dessert!!

The Staff

I guess we should just say that everyone was superb, but especially these people. Venesa &  Suzette at the Terrace Dining room, Ann Marie, Suzette, Serena at the nude beach bar, Antoinette and Nola at Scotch Bonnet, The chef at the nude beach grill (forgot her name). We had such a blast with each and every one of the entertainment coordinators, especially the tattoo application part. They put up with a lot of stuff, especially from Philip and just kept on going. What a job! The entertainment coordinators get mentioned so often it is not a wonder that they are so loved and appreciated. Probably, not noticed very much, but nevertheless very much a part of our enjoyment: Gordon, Food & Beverage manager (especially for letting me use his badge for the morning and sample the wares before other customers got there!), Mr. Lopez, Bar Manager for smoothing things at Pastafari when we all went in our skimpy costumes and were supposed to be wearing at least shirts!!! Tamara at the front desk , for always smiling at me, no matter how silly I was.

The Swing

We hung it up Sunday morning with help from our Cave Dweller engineer, Eddie and the rest is history. We saw it used regularly at night, I persuaded several people to test it with me and the “sheep” that Eddie and Annette gave me for when I got locked out of our room at night used to sleep in it. We left it there when we left so that the rest of the Cave Dwellers arriving this week could use it. We trust it is getting a real “workout”

The Body Shots and The Sex

These are not necessarily synonymous with each other, but every afternoon we had to give various people body shots in the pool or wherever. Some afternoons we got carried away, some afternoons we were asked to move it to the cave. (Ron should remember that well as two of our Cave Dweller ladies brought him to new heights again and again) Jane (Mommy) was right there to make sure that everyone got their licks and we all had a wonderful time, every time. We all “played” with each other a lot and I know that some of us stretched our limits but none of us got mad or upset that we could ever notice. This was fun, plain and simple, just with the usual sex and sensuality  that one finds at Hedo III mixed in. Sex was everywhere, mostly discreet, always enjoyable to watch and the main fun is making sure that the sex police don’t see you. And, if you don’t like that there are plenty of places you can go to avoid it. There was one incident where a guy on a day pass made several unwanted moves on some lady members of the Cave Dwellers and some others that were in the pool and I had have a little chat with him about the severe consequences of doing that again and that pretty much put an end to it, other than that things seemed to go pretty smooth

The Vow Renewal

This was such a great idea and we all had such a wonderful time renewing our vows, together. There were 9 couples that participated and our newlyweds Jordan & Christina looked on from the sidelines, probably with fond memories of their “Big Day” just the previous Friday! Jordan, (so typical for him), thought ahead and provided us with a Magnum of Champagne that he had brought with him on the plane, along with the other bottles and the wonderful cake that the resort provided. Everyone looked so special with their bouquets of flowers that it was no surprise that there were no dry eyes by the time we had all said our vows. If you are going to Hedo III, you must renew your vows!!

The Bus wreck!

Had a wreck in the bus on the way back to the airport. Got sideswiped by a truck that did not even stop and several people got some glass fragments embedded in them, but we did not see that anyone was very seriously hurt. It was a bummer for those that were at the back where it all happened.

What made the week so great!

If we mentioned all the people that we had fun with, Denny might not let us post here again, but here goes. These people provided not only our little group, but also many others with so much wonderful and sometimes outrageous entertainment throughout the week.

Eddie and Annette – Directors of Advertising and Marketing what a job what great children you make!! Jane & I love you both so much!! Eddie – you need to let go more!!

Russell & Deann, our DFW neighbours, other than “Hook em Horns” what can we say except we love you and are proud that you live in Texas. Russell, just how many ladies did you show your “horns” to in the dining room?  Hugh & Judy – Beautiful people that we learned so much from; I know we will see you again.  Jim & Patti, the only guy with a monogrammed beach chair set up by the pool and one hell of a lady that has underwater skills that anyone would enjoy!! Jim was the big winner at several events that required special skills!   David & BrendaLee-A sweet couple that surprised us all the time, especially in the cage at the disco.  Bill & Lorraine – Non-stop fun – the “man” at the wet shorts contest in his wife’s underwear!!   Dave & Deb- You guys look like you were made for each other – sorry I did not get a chance to make a pass at Deb!LOL

Jack & Maureen- Jack is one helluva tolerant guy and Mo is…... well she’s MO! I’m still getting jokes. Oh and thanks for the rectal exam at Pastafari!   Tod & Meg-You guys looked just like your pictures. Thanks for the fun times in the disco, Meg is a wild lady on the floor( I mean dance floor).    Pam & Mike- Kind, sweet, gentle, fun- not enough words to describe you wonderful people. We would have given anything for you to stay that extra day! Thanks for the music; Tic Toc Get Up!!   Bob & Cassandra – our advance scouts. Thanks for the help with the dinner reservations. These guys did more activities than anyone! Both in and out of their room.   Ray & Tina. “A Beautiful Couple” words used by others to describe who we should look for- were right on the money. Thank you for tolerating us.     Dave & Kerry. Gone so soon, we wished you had stayed longer but loved having you.   Jordan & Christina – Our “Newlyweds” So special to each and everyone of us. A Gentleman and his beautiful lady. Where did she learn to “bump & grind” like that. This is the guy you want to bring the wine. Sophistication way beyond your years, Jordan. We all loved you both, so much.   Elbert & Mieko- neighbours from S. Antonio. So glad that you represented Texas so well.  Robert & Felicia- Robert, even the guys “dug” you, but some of us occasionally glanced at your fine lady.   Gina & Rick. They brought “light” to every party we had, in so many more ways than one. A playful couple to say the least.   Jeff & Tina –Sorry you got there late, but we loved having you with us and you make such a handsome couple(even with your tongue out KittKat)

Dave & Denise- I hope we were not too rowdy for you guys, we had already had a head start you know.   John & Takina- three months of chatting and planning and we only get to be with you for a day, but we loved that day. We all cheered for Takina in the Wet- t- shirt contest that she entered on her first day there!   Last, but not least of the Cave Dwellers: Dave & Lynda, in some ways soul mates, as crazy as can be, living life to the fullest, experimenting at each opportunity. We loved you from the start and it won’t end here. You belong together.

For all the Cave Dwellers that got there after we left. Thank you so much for being part of our group and we hope that you kept the spirit going when we left. We hope that others will post trip reports that show you in your true light!

Non Cave Dwellers that we hope to include next year:

Gary & Geneva- we played a lot, but Geneva never came through for me! Next time we will embarrass you even more!!   Bobby & Michelle – wow guys thanks for the “games” in the disco!! And the fun in the pool. Bobby & Philip had a lot of fun ”taking shots” at each other.   Ron… hope you remember how well the Cave dweller ladies treated you in the cave.   John… what a great guy. I never even realized you were single until the third day; guess you had too many women around you.   Derek… I know you had more fun than you should have “massaging” Jane.   Freddie & “Luscious” (and the girls) What can we say, except that we loved all four of you and cannot wait to see you again. You are both very special and we want to be with you all the time on the next trip.   Rick & A.J. thanks for the fun on the swing that afternoon and on stage, also.   Evelyn & Allie:  Fellow travelers with us from Houston; You guys were and almost caused several riots! And yes, we all saw what went on in the cave that afternoon.   Ken & Cathy: who were also fellow travelers on our Houston flight – thank you for the beads Cathy, I never quite repaid you, I was too busy making sure that Ken was a good boy with Jane!

There were so many others that we had fun with and if we have forgotten you, it is only in name and not in spirit. We spent so much wonderful time with everyone we came in contact with and are already planning for next year.

To summarize this very lengthy report:  Use Denny’s visitor list to e-mail others and start some sort of group, you will reap the benefits, not only with the fun you have before you go, but most certainly when you are on site with a bunch of “friends”

If you would like to be a member of our group, please e-mail Philip at philipcooke@yahoo.com  and he will invite you to the site.
