HEDONISM III September 29 to October 9, 2001

This was my second trip to Hedonism III with the first
being last year over Labor Day weekend the this trip starting September 29 and
scheduled to end October 7. Hurricane
IRIS had something to say about my departure (they closed the airport).
I left Hedonism on October 9.
There is some question about the hurricane guarantee.
I did receive one night at no cost but they charged me $200 for the
second night and I am still waiting for the travel insurance to reimburse me
(it is well over a month now). However,
I must say the staff was excellent and kept us well informed on the approach
of the storm. After
all the work I think we had at the most 30 MPH winds and not even an inch of
rain. When I left we had much more wind and rain (the airport
was open then).
This trip was the best ever. I spent most of my morning diving and even got an afternoon
and night dive in. The diving
staff was the best and really tried to get to the best sights and did
everything for you.
This year I had and Idea on what was going to happen at
the evening parties in the disco and came prepared. They did enforce the dress code for the PJ party (on PJs
or theme dress Leather and Lace I chose Leather and won a prize).
The other major event was the toga night.
The staff did excellent in organizing the event and had most (about 70%
in togas or similar garb). Most
of the other nights in the disco there were very few due to only 60 or 70
guests in the resort during the week.
In summary the freedom of Hedonism need to be
experienced. You sure do
not need much clothing, as you probably will be nude most of the time.
During the week there were no prudes and the staff would let you enjoy
the slide in a natural state. We
timed the time it took to go down in the slide wearing a swim suite (10
seconds) and nude (8 seconds) everyone chose nude.
After this trip I am going to try Hedonism II in January but will
return to Hedonism III later in the year.
