Larry & Margie - 05/01

Larry and Margie May 25 - June 1, 2001 Hedonism III

Flight & Transportation Departed Charlotte on USAirways on time. USAirways had advised us a few months back some miss information concerning upgrades so one of us was in 1st class and the other in coach. We did carry on only luggage so we were though custom in minutes (no waiting for those bags... yippy). Of course we had the "want any smoke" question prior to getting on the bus, but a simple no thank you worked. We were out and on a bus heading to Hedo III within 15 minutes. We had to stop for gas after leaving the airport, then the driver stopped for the Red Stripe and no one got off the bus. So off we went to Breeze and Hedo III. Our mini bus was full. All going to Breezes except 5 of us. The only ones on the bus that talked were those of us going to Hedo III.

The Resort, Check in and Room We were impressed with the resort, landscaping and the layout of the property. The resort is small, but there are a lot of things packed into the space they have. We were checked in and off to our room in the 700 building within 15 minutes. Thanks to Walter of the Wild Bunch and Michele Davis in sales for the upgrade to the 700 building. Our room was very nice. We had stayed at Hedo II 6 years ago and we both thought the rooms at Hedo III are MUCH nicer. The entire room has tiled floors (be careful when you first go into your room) Larry about busted his butt our 1st few minutes in the room by sliding on the tile). As you have read there are a lot of mirrors. We couldn't help but laugh. Depending on how you laid on the bed you could have one leg that was VERY skinny and the other one that was HUGE (but it did lead to some laughed).

Restaurants We ate at all of the restaurants and had good food everywhere. The jerk at the Scotch Bonnet was excellent, but the service is slow (remember in your in Jamaica) sit back and enjoy the view ( best view on the resort is at the Scotch Bonnet). I can not be the best judge of the Italian restaurant Pastafaris since that was the night that I was a little drunk. The Japanese restaurant Munahana was excellent. Larry does not eat Japanese food and he even came out full that night. The nude beach grill has good food (Larry loved their burger and fries my favorite was the grilled cheese). The main dinning room is your basic buffet food. Look around and you will find something that you will like. Those have a lot of variety at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We made reservation when we checked in for the Italian and Japanese restaurants for a table of 6. We figured we would be meeting people and would invite them to join us. You can eat alone at Hedo III if you wish, but we had people join us or we join them at almost every meal.

Activities We didn't do any of the water sports. We had every intention of going on the glass bottom boat and using the kayaks, but it never seem to happen. We were enjoying hanging out at the nude pool with all of our new found friends. We did participate in some of the activities and they were fun. Get involved if that is your thing, but it is not just layback in your lounge chair and enjoy the show.

Theme Nights The theme nights were ok, but we found that a lot of people did not participate. Our suggestion is to start the theme night a little earlier. Everyone ended up getting very drunk between dinner and the theme night. We were a little surprised at toga night. At Hedo II they enforced the "no sheet no eat" at Hedo III about a 1/3 of the crowd was in street clothes. We had a large table at the toga party and those of us at our table had a great time. Hale Mark Anthony and Cleopatra.

Nude area This is really the only area of the resort we spent our time in. On our 2nd to last day I told Larry "we have never even been in the main pool". We did get into the quad pool once. That was because we were in the quad hot tub one night due to some vinnies in the nude hot tub. We found that the nude pool was fine. We had brought floats that we never even had blown up because there were plenty that others had left. I know some people did not like the volleyball net in the nude pool, but we had a blast one day playing 7 games.

PDA OK this goes on. But a lot of times you might not even know it (or at least I didn't). We did witness some wild things happen (body shots will usually start some interesting things), but they were not everyday all day. Most people are discreet. At night, the hot tub gets active around 1:00 a.m. and can go until sunrise. From what we heard someone had complained to the management about PDA during the day and the last couple of day the sex policy were trying to stop anyone who was obviously having sex during the day time. As far as being approached by others. We had it only happen once (actually Larry did). Most people we be able to tell if you are interested in that kind of thing just by talking to you.

Staff

The staff there is excellent. They work very long hours. We would like to thank all the entertainment staff for everything they do to make sure everyone is having a good time. Also thank you to Suzette and Anna Marie at the nude bar. They make sure that the drinks are always flowing.

Meet people This was the best part of our trip. We had emailed some people (thanks Denny for the visitor list) plus we joined the Wild Bunch (thanks Walter sorry we only got to spend your last night our first with you and Cheryl). We meet some of the best people by talking to the other people at the bar waiting on a drink. Some of these people we ended up spending our whole trip with.

We had a blast with Dave (can you handle a 140lb women), Carolyn (you go girl), Pat, Karla, Russell (happy birthday), Clare (more rum I need more rum to do this), Tony (hale Mark Anthony), Jen (Hi my name is Jen), Mike, Lisa, Dawn (can you believe I flashed you), Richard, Gary, Tiffany, TR, Lisa (wished we would have been able to spend more time getting to know you two), Rob, Ida, Duncan, Monique, Walter, Cheryl, and everyone else.

Conclusion You do not have to have a perfect body to be on the nude site. We saw everything from very small to very large of every body part. Within the 1st few hours you do not even realize the people you are talking with are nude. Do as much or as little as you want. Have fun, but remember the sun is strong (we did not burn but we had friends who did) use sunscreen. We used 30spf most of the trip and have had some black friends at home compare their coloring to ours. Learn the staffs names and say thank you.
