WE WENT, WE SAW, WE LOVED AND WE WILL BE BACK TO HEDO III
ARRIVAL Uneventful flight other than the luggage compartment on the plane had frozen which put a delay in getting our luggage (approximately 1 hour) but no problem mon, soon we had our luggage a couple of Red Stripes and were off to the resort. The bus ride was not so bad, try to look at the country side and not the oncoming traffic. Check in was a breeze everything is so well organized, we did not receive the building we had requested but the staff quickly made a room adjustment and soon we were on our way to unpacking and finally begining our vacation..... AND THE FUN BEGINS...... Being that it had been a good six hours since we had eaten, we strolled through the resort and found ourselves at the Scotch Bonnet. Excellent Jamaican fare you must try everything jerk, and the curried goat was out of this world. The view of the ocean from the Scotch Bonnet is breathtaking and be sure to see Antoinette at the bar there, she will fix you the best Jamaican Delights they have. Antoinette was the BEST, we already miss her!!!! With our appetites fullfilled, we decided to brave the nude side (actually, Frank decided to brave the nude side). I have to say it didnt take him long to adjust before I knew it he was in the jacuzzi - beer in hand, having the time of his life!!! In fact, for the next three days this was home..... THE FOOD...... Just as other trip reports have commented Munahana was EXCELLENT!!! Great ambiance, excellent sushi and just plain fun. Make a reservation as soon as you arrive. Pastafari's was fair - nice atmosphere, very dark :)...and average italian food. The buffets were always good and of course as I had mentioned earlier the Scotch Bonnet is just plain great, eat lunch there as much as you can. THE STAFF.... I cannot say enough about the staff at this resort, I have traveled extensively and have never recieved this kind of service. ANTOINETTE was the best, be sure to see this girl. The entertainment staff was wonderful!!!! Fantasy, Romeo and Carolyn truly make Hedo a blast. THE ENTERTAINMENT.... Toga night was great, but we participated in just about all of the theme nights. Be sure to participate as much as you can, it really is a lot of fun. Disco was fun, cage and pole are an interesting touch to the establishment, however the reggae rap does get a little annoying after some time, luckily Frank brought some CD's spun by some D.J. friends which defenitely picked things up a bit. Never made it to the Piano Bar so I cannot report on that. House band was was EXCELLENT!!! SEX...... Yes there was a lot of sex, but no one is disrespectful or pushes anything on anyone, all in all it did liven things up a bit - I know we did also... PEOPLE.... This was by far the best vacation we have taken together and for one reason only, the people we met.....Tom and Gloria, wish we could have had more time with you, we did end up passing on the tradition you guys were great, Richie and Olivia hope we stay in touch please email me (see bottom of report), Rick boy is Frank glad he ran into you on Thursday it was really great to meet you, Greg you are something else hope we stay in touch!!!! And many others who defenitely made our trip memorable!!!! SOME SUGGESTIONS..... DO GO NUDE!!!!! Do bring a big mug, you will regret it if you don't... and Be sure to write the management of Hedo after you leave, to let them know what staff members were the most helpful courteous etc, after you leave....
