This was our second trip to Hedo III and we have visited Hedo II before as well. We prefer III better and that is up to everyone to decide on their own. I will not bore you with the trip down to Mobay, it always takes to long no matter where you are coming from. We were there from april the 15th till the 22nd
THE RESORT The resort has really grown up in the last year and is looking really good. The place still looks good and the maintenance people are doing a great job keeping the place up. This place is really a first class place and had all the amenities that you could want.
THE STAFF Overall the staff was great, there were several of the entertainment coordinators still there from last year. Teddybear, Lacy, Romeo, and others that we remember seeing. Michelle Davis the internet sales lady is still there and was great as usual at taking care of us. We did have one problem with one staff member making promises that he did not keep but management is looking into that for us.
THE ROOMS The rooms are still in good shape and seem to have been taken care of by the other guest that have visited over the year. Some rooms the CD player was missing and maybe an iron here or there but overall the rooms are still in good shape.
THE FOOD The food was as good as last year and the buffets always had a good selection during the meals that we ate there. The Italian place was great and we ate there twice during the week. The Japanese restaurant was great as well and we enjoyed the cook and the entertainment that she provided. The midnight buffet was ok as well as we hit it a few nights during the week.
OUR TRIP
This was the best time we had on any of our trips. Funny thing is we seem to say that everytime we come home. We met some folks that were there last time when we went as well as the ones we met of Denny's sight. The people are what makes the trip either a blast or a bust in our opinion. We met some really neet people and enjoyed visiting with all the ones we met. Special thanks go out to Norm and Mindy, Richie and Olivia you guys are the best and look forward to long and lasting friendships. To Bob and Jody who were there from last year and Michael and Gina, then also to Beth,Susan, Carrie,Josh,Ann,Steve,Kevin,Stephanie, Chris,Amy,Kevin and April who got married while down there.
To all the people who put the shows on and to the ones who watched in amazement at what can or cannot happen at hedo. To the security people who were really a pain in the ass at times during the week. And to that Norm and Richie, I still do not remember the security gaurd coming around on tuesday:) I guess I was kind of busy. We did have a great time during the week.
Our suggestion is to go and get involved in the games and fun and let yourself have the time of your life. That is reallly what hedo is all about, just doing what you want and not having to worry what everyone else thinks. There is no pressure on you to do anything that you are not comfortable with. You will meet the friendliest people at hedo in the world I am convinced. People go there to have a good time and that is all they expect of you as well.
Public sex is around and about but it is not thrown in your face and takes place more in the evenings and late night than during the day. We did see quite a bit of it during our week and at night on the beach and pier as well as the hot tubs. Lots of people do not participate in it but they sure do like to watch the others pass the time.
The disco was pretty good during the week as well as the piano bar. The waterslide is still a good thing at anytime during the day or night.
We recommend to everyone to take there own mugs, we took 44oz insulated mugs this time and they can sneak up on you in a hurry while sipping on vodka slushes or one of the other great drinks Ann Marie makes. I do remember tuesday got a little blurred and almost missed the Japanese restaurant dinner. But recovered in time for the PJ party which is a must for everyone. The theme nights all went well again this year and again it is up to to people that are there.
Again thanks to all our new friends for the great week at Hedo III and look forward to seeing you guys real soon. We are ready for the next reunion and look forward to the life long friendships that you find at hedo. So go be wicked for a week and don't worry what the world will think because they all wish they had the guts to go and do it themselves.
