HEDO III Trip Report. December 6-13, 2000

Here are some notes on Hedo III from a point of view of a rather antisocial, single, and male person. My chief reasons for going there were its all-inclusiveness and absence of children (I just don't like children...), so don't expect too many insights into sex life of Hedonists here :)

Take whatever you read here with a grain of salt.

WEATHER: It rained once or twice, in the evening, but so lightly, that no one really noticed. Temperature was in mid-80s. Very enjoyable, at least compared to Chicago.

ACCOMODATIONS: Mine were on the Quad, close to the disco (green building). Nevertheless, I did not feel too much noise (although unlimited drinks might be partly to blame). The room, while not perfect (one picture was standing on the floor instead of hanging on the wall, and there were some water stains on the bathroom ceiling. Somebody must've had too much fun in the Jacuzzi above me...) was clean and comfortable. 5-star hotel it was not, but as a place to sleep it was fine.

FOOD: Quite good. I am not familiar enough with Jamaican cuisine to pass a judgement on the Scotch Bonnet, but I think it was OK. Terrace was quite good. It is a buffet, so one should not expect anything extra fancy, but everything that I tried was fresh, plentiful, and tasted good. Salads were great. Drinks in the bars that I got to were fine, too. I never got around to making reservations for the Japanese or Italian place.

STAFF: Very friendly, and I have not had any problems with them begging for money or knocking on my door in the middle of the night, offering girls. They ARE poor, though, and it would be a good idea to leave some tips for them.

Service was good. Anyone who can watch me dance, and still serve me my dozen vodka shots with a straight face is way cool.

Entertainment staff did their best to keep things interesting, and Carol ("Tina Turner") is, IMHO, the best-looking person on the resort, guests included... (no offence to anyone).

GUESTS: I did not count single males/females ratios, and this is probably quite meaningless anyway, because people come and go, but when I was there there were quite a few young (20-30) people. Some single. Quite a few good looking, and most very friendly.

ENTERTAINMENT: I did not spend too much time on the nude side (probably about an hour at night, when I wanted a drink, and did not feel like disco; and before anyone complains, on the nude side I was nude), and the nude side is where most of the activities seem to take place. I did see most of the ones that were done on the stage or in the disco. Did not find most of it ll that exciting (I still can't figure exactly what is so entertaining about wrapping oneself on a sheet and running around. Well, may be if your name is Caligula...), but most people seemed to like it. I mostly entertained myself in the disco, and that was fine.

SEX: There was no blatant sex on the prude side (that I have seen), although quite a bit of nudity around the Quad pool. At one point, though, when I was trying to warm up in the Quad hot tub, two couples got in and went for some rather passionate blow-jobs.

At the time I was there, there were enough single women, and I was approached by, ahem, locals (very good looking one, on one occasion) a few times, so if you want to get laid, you will, one way or another.

CONCLUSION: If you are looking for some sex, calling your friendly local escort is cheaper, and you avoid the aggravation of air travel. s a place to relax, without having to worry about anything at all, and do just about whatever you please, Hedo is unbeatable.
