A single guy traveling alone, and first time to Hedo III to boot. Apprehensive at first, I quickly made friends even at the Super Clubs desk at the airport. Yes, the bus ride to Hedo III is everything already mentioned. I was comparable to an hour and a half amusement park ride. Thankfully the wine and beer flowed endlessly on Air Jamaica, so I was not feeling much pain. If you knew for certain you would survive the trip, it would almost be fun.

Check-in was a long process, but my room was ready. I did make a special request for a particular area, but it was not considered. I cannot remember the name of the female desk attendant, but I believe it rhymed with "bitch". Enough about that... the rest of the staff certainly made up for her lack of attention.

After unpacking, I ventured down to the main bar. "Premium" brand liquors exist, but they are not the majority. Most of what is available, and used, is local brand drinks, unless specified. The main bar has a pronounced "sour" smell, but is thankfully outdoors. Some of the bartenders worth mentioning are Nola, Nadine and Antonette. The staff works hard, and is very attentive to your needs. They are incredibly underpaid. Most take mulitiple buses every day from their villages. Be discreet, but generous with tips. The reaction I received from one of the staff made me feel as if I was feeding her family for a month. The restaurant food was surprisingly good. I made reservations early, and recommend doing the same. Again, I was seated for only moments each time I ate out, before a group or couple insisted I join their table.

Unfortunately, there seems to be an overbearing division between the nude and prude sides. The people, however, within each division are extremely friendly. There seems to be more daily activities on the nude side, with nothing ever happening at the quad pool, but some fun stuff to see on the main stage. I'll personally never eat bananas again...

The waterslide beckoned my newly formed group the first night. We were like children, riding the slide several times. It's fast and furious, but certainly not overwhelming.

Tight security abounds, day and night. I was stalked by an individual who became relentless in their pursuit of me. Without going into details, this guest was quickly removed from the resort. You know who you are, and if you're reading this, NO MEANS NO.

I'd like to take a moment to thank everyone for their kindness at Hedonism, and look forward to continuing our friendships in the future. I have your e-mails; and if I missed someone along the line, drop me a line. Chris from Canada, be in touch, girl! You left too soon. If anyone who is planning to visit Hedo in the future and has any questions, also feel free to e-mail me. As Nadine asked, "You ready to come back next year, Mon?" No, Nadine, probably next month!
