Phil & Terri - 09/00

We were very lucky to be able to take a second trip to Hedo III this year (see March report). We went from 9-2 to 9-9 and found out that it was very different at this time of year. It was hotter, a little rain, warmer water (pool and ocean), and a very different crowd. This trip we left LAX... "ON TIME"..and had a great flight to Montego Bay. We arrived EARLY in the morning, and customs was empty, so we were down to the Super clubs desk very quickly. We were greeted by friendly staff, and told it would be about 10 minutes for the bus. The only problem I had, was the bar was not open yet..oh well.."pit stop"..

For some strange reason, we just love the ride to Hedo III. It may be intense for some, but we just kick back and enjoy all that we see. I love to take as many pictures of the people, places and things that you see from the bus. We only had to dodge one cow, several bicycle's, some goats, and the other people who "drive" a car. Soon we were at our "pit stop"..yes...Red Stripe at last. This trip was looking good, as we had three couples all going to Hedo III, so we only had one stop left.

Soon we were at Hedo III, and getting off the bus, and it was like we never left. The best part was we knew what we were in for this time, so Phil took off running, looking for old friends. We were told we had to wait for a room...surprise...so we changed clothes (always carry bathing suits in the carry on) and went to the main dinning room, as breakfast was still being served. One couple got their room right away, and the other couple we asked to join us, as it was their first trip, and we filled them in on what goes on. Soon we both had our rooms ready, and off we went for the first day of fun!

This trip we asked for the second floor, so we could leave the windows open to get fresh air at night. We decided that this time we would give up the ocean view room, as we spend all day at the beach, and only go to the room to shower, change clothes and sleep. We were in the 400 building this time, and the room was the same as before with a great view of the pool, and close to the nude beach. The only problem was the hot tub got loud late at night, and it kept Terri up a couple of nights.

The food was as good as last time. We ate at all the restaurants again, and really enjoyed them all. I would go to the Scotch Bonnet and get take-out plate to go to what ever pool I was at. I thought the Italian restaurant was better this time, and the service was quicker. At the Japanese restaurant...we had a cook in training for the first part, and a great cook for the second part. It was as good as I remembered it. A good tip... make your reservations as soon as you get there, and we always make them for four people, as we know we will meet somebody to have dinner with. And make sure you make it to the beach night..BBQ fish and lobster !!!!

The nude pool seemed to have a volleyball game going most of the day. Some games were fun..some got serious, but we all had fun playing or watching. We went to the quad pool one day, and took a bunch of people and made it nude for the day, and floated on rafts and got some sun. The water temperature was warmer this time, and the hot tubs seemed to stay at a good temperature. The only problem we had was the night that they put in a huge dose of chlorine at 10 pm, and drove everyone out.  It seems that the quad pool hot tub is quiet in the early evening, but does get going after midnight, . The only problem with the quad pool is that the bar closes early. The sun deck is also a great place to have some "fun"(tip 2)....Terri's turning red.

We spent most of our time at the nude pool and beach again this time. The beach is still very nice, but it does have some rocks in the water. The water was very warm, and very smooth, even though there is a current. And the sand was HOT this time!  We only went to the "prude beach" for Wednesdays beach party. After dinner on the beach, we went back to the room to change. The girls came back down topless, or in see thru tops for the games, and it was fun to watch the faces of the people not ready for this. The sand does have some rocks in it, as we found out during the games, as we had to run all over the place. Way to much work for a bottle of rum, but we had fun with new found friends. It seems that almost every night we had a trip to the water slide, and always found more people to join in. Seems that they want you to keep your clothes on until midnight, as I was warned more than once, so we just waited outside the disco for the time to come. Seems when you have a bunch of people getting naked outside the disco, some others not planning to just have to join the fun.

Much of the staff has changed since we were there. But they still have a great staff of new faces, and some old were there also.
Simone...Thanks for the job offer...I will write to you soon.
PeeWee..Thank you for all the great games, but most of all..thanks for the great conversation. I have the highest respect for you, and will write you soon. If you get a chance to talk with this man ..DO IT!!
I found my friend..the best cook ..Sofia working at the Italian restaurant. Have her make you a dish on Italian night in the main dinning room.
Nola....Your the best at the nude beach. Thanks for all the great service, and remember.."NO GIGGLING"...love that smile.
Ann-Marie...you pour the best Red Stripe...Purple Rain (Yum!) and Hummingbirds...see you soon.
Charmaine..Your the best at the main bar, and it was good to see you again.
And the rest of the entertainment staff...GREAT JOB...

All I can say is that there is enough to do if you want to do it. If not..that is fine also, just relax, and most of all..ENJOY..
Play the games, get Hedo bucks..we brought home 9 bottles of rum this time.
Do the water slide..go nude after midnight, run thought the disco first, then to the slide. The slide is faster nude.
Go topless on "bare as you dare "day.
Get involved in the theme nights...Toga night needs some help. And bring things to make your Toga look good.
I recommend "Battle of the sexes" and "name that tune " on 70's night..GREAT fun.
Take a ride on the Hobbie Cat..take a waterproof camera, and get some great shots of the resort from the ocean (tip 3 )
Have a massage...relax for one hour...make an appointment ASAP.
Do body painting at the nude beach...what fun...
..tip 4...And since the glass bottom boat from the "other resorts" stops outside the nude beach daily...get the men to stand and wave at the "TOURISTS"...(ask Peewee)

The second trip was WAY BETTER than the first, as we felt better about what we were getting into, and  knew what to expect this time. (Maybe next time Terri will even let me do body shots on the bar ...) Go and enjoy yourself, meet new friends, or just have a quiet vacation. Hedo III is what you want to make it..and we choose to make it FUN. We can not wait to go back again, as we just love it there.

We have to give great thanks to Denny for such a great site, that allows us to meet such good friends that are also going, and giving us all the message board, so we get the inside line on what is going on at Hedo III. All I hope is that I may be able to help one person with my trip report to enjoy Hedo III. If you have any questions, feel free to send an e-mail, I will try to answer the best  can.
