Ellen: 6/18/00 - 6/25/00

Well this was my first trip both out of North America and Jamaica so I was quite excited.

I flew out of BWI early Sunday morning and had a pleasent and uneventful flight (thank god as I am not a good flyer). The flight went quickly and I even got a chance to see the movie the bachelor which made the time go faster.

I arrived at Montego Bay airport and started going through the process of immigration and customs. Everything went well and I changed some money into Jamaican dollars and went to meet my travel partner down by the Superclubs desk. I was immediately greeted by several Superclubs staff and then waited for my partner to get there. He arrived shortly there after and we were soon on our way to the resort.

Our driver was quite the tour guide and pointed out several points of interest during the hour and 20 minute ride. Of course we made the obligatory pit stop and several people got out to get Red Stripe and water. We were soon off on our way again. Driving and riding in Jamaica seem to be quite an adventure. It gave me a new appreciation for the smooth roads that we do have in the states.

We arrived at the resort and began the checkin process. We were told our rooms were not quite ready and that we should go have some lunch, which we did. After we ate we walked back to the desk and were then taken to our room. We ended up with an Ocean front suite in building 600 which was truly fantastic. When I originally booked the trip I paid for Ocean view but was told that I would receive an upgrade coupon and if space were available we would get the upgrade. Well it worked and the room was truly fantastic with a nice mini bar refrigerator.

We were there for an entire week and got to experience all the different theme nights and activities. We met some absolutely wonderful people that I hope to see again someday. Hi to Mo and Becky, Brandie and Jack, Alvin and Patricia, Bob and Bev, etc. The nude side was definitely where the fun and action were and things got quite interesting after dark. Body shots were incredible (a woman has not lived until she has experienced this). I even participated in the nude oil wrestling (not easy to get the oil off afterwards). Some interesting fantasies were even realized during that week for me. I went on the beach/surf horseback ride which truly was the ride of my life. The guides were fantastic and the scenary was really pretty.

The staff was incredible and very attentive. They were always trying to get something going. Please tell Juicy that Ellen from Maryland says hi to her if you go down. She is a lot of fun. Definitely try both the Italian and Japanese restaurants while you are there as they are both fantastic.

Now the not so good part.

Coming home was an absolute disaster. I was scheduled to fly out of MBJ at 4:35 on Sunday afternoon. We arrived at the airport 1.5 hours before hand. We were pulled out of different lines 3 different times in a short period to eventually find out that there were no more seats on our plane. What I did find out is that the plane they planned to use to Baltimore had mechanical difficulties and they switched to a smaller plane. (no one notified us before hand) so a bunch of folks got bumped off. They were trying to get people to stay an extra day and well I just couldn't do that. So they rerouted me to Philadelphia, and said they would provide ground transportation back to Baltimore. Well that flight was supposed to leave at 5:55 but ended up being delayed until 8:40 that evening. Needless to say we didn't get into Phila until about 1:30am Monday morning. I left Phila at 3am and got back into Baltimore at 5am. Going to work on 1.5 hours sleep is not an easy task but I had to do it. This should and could have been avoided by Air Jamaica but it wasn't. I am still trying to some type of restitution from them from this extreme inconvience. They knew where everyone was and we should have been notified way ahead of time and given some better options.

Thats all. If you have any questions please email me at egreenfield@mindspring.com .
