Trip Report

Alex and Michelle 10/9-10/14

My wife Michelle (24) and I (25) went to HEDO III from October 9th to the 14th. Our decision to go to HEDO III came out of the blue. I was exhausted from my job and told my wife that we needed to go on vacation. We had no idea where we wanted to go. All we knew was that we wanted to go some place warm. I went to our local travel agency and looked at their Caribbean resort guide and saw Hedonism III. I remembered that I had seen Hedonism III on Entertainment TV and Playboy and knew that we'd definitely have a great vacation if we went there. It took us only a few minutes to decide that we would go to HEDO III. Planning the trip was a little hard because we had to find dates that we could use my frequent flyer miles. Luckily we were able to coordinate our vacation so that my mother could watch our 2-year-old son while we were away.

Thanks to the October issue of Playboy we were able to find out about Denny's web site. My wife and I didn't really know what to expect, but Denny's site really prepared us well for our trip. Thanks Denny!!!

Having read all of the other trip reports before going to HEDO III, Michelle and I decided that we would keep a daily journal of the different activities that we participated in. I'm not going to tell you about every single minute of our stay, but I will give the highlights of each day. Anyway, here is a recap of our best vacation ever.

Flight:

My wife and I flew Northwest Airlines. Everything went smoothly with the flight. We had no delays and all of the flights were on time. Because we used my frequent flyer miles, we did not have a direct flight from Philadelphia. We traveled from Philadelphia to Memphis to Tampa to Montego Bay. We left Philadelphia at 6:30 AM and arrived in Montego Bay at 2:30 PM. Customs was easy and we proceeded to get our luggage. As Jeff & Jenny mentioned earlier in their trip report everyone that touches your bags expects a tip. A porter helped us take our luggage to the Superclubs desk. When we got there our names were not on the bus list, but they checked our voucher and added us onto the list. Don't forget to bring your voucher! Having it will help you avoid any problems when you arrive at Montego Bay and also when you check in. The bus ride to HEDO III left at around 3:00 and we arrived at the resort at 4:45. From earlier trip reports we expected to have a wild ride to the resort, but ride went smoothly. Our driver was very good and he didn't drive too fast. He used his microphone and while driving continuously told us about all of the sites we would pass and also taught us about Jamaican culture. On the way we stopped at a little restaurant to stretch our legs and get some Red Stripes. We never had Red Stripe before, but I must say it is good beer.

Check in:

Check in was easy. They had information packets (activity list, water activity schedule, spa prices) made up for everyone arriving except for us. They quickly made our packet. My wife and I requested a room in Building 6, but they had no rooms left, so they gave us one in Building 7. The room was ready and as soon as we got our keys we were brought to our room. Don't forget to get two locks for your safes in the room.

Rooms:

Our room was on the 3rd floor. The room was nice and simple. It had a king-size bed and a small couch. We had a view that overlooked the nude beach volleyball area and giant chessboard. It wasn't the biggest room we've stayed in but we didn't care since we knew we wouldn't be spending that much time in it. The ceiling over the bed was mirrored as well as over the jacuzzi. One nice thing was the remote control air conditioner. The TV had a few channels, but we kept it mainly on the Playboy channel. Our room didn't have a CD player, but we had one within a few minutes of calling the front desk. Monday, October 9

When we arrived at our room we were starving, so we quickly unpacked and went to the Scotch Bonnet to eat. We both had jerk burgers with fries. The service was good and our food was served quickly. The food was very good. We highly recommend Scotch Bonnet. After we ate we decided to take a quick tour of the resort. We first walked over to take a peek at the nude pool and beach. Michelle and I are not prudes but it was our first time seeing other people nude other than in a gym locker room. Both of us still hadn't decided if we would have enough guts to be nude in front of other people. After looking around we were exhausted and took a nap. The theme for the day was Blast from the Past (70's clothes) and neither Michelle nor I had any 70's clothes. When we woke up we decided that we were going to go to the nude hot tub. We went at around midnight. We both went wrapped in towels and when we got there we were both a little nervous. We sat on the beach chairs for a few minutes and then got up enough courage to go into the hot tub. The temperature of the hot tub was perfect. As soon as we went into the hot tub we felt very comfortable. People weren't checking us out and they treated us the same as if we were clothed. As it was reported in previous trip reports, there was definitely action going on in the hot tub.

Tuesday, October 10

We woke up at around 9 AM. We looked out the window and it was such a beautiful day. The sun was shining and there were no clouds. We got dressed and looked at the activity schedule and decided what activities we were going to do. We ate breakfast at the main dining room. There were a lot of different choices. All of the traditional breakfast foods were there-eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes. My personal favorite was the omelet station. All you have to do is choose what you want in your omelet and they'll make it for you. The food choices are more than enough to please the pickiest of eaters. After eating we were going to do the tie and dye class, but we had nothing to tie and dye so we decided to go to the beach and see what water sports we could do. On the way to the beach we were stopped by Delicious, one of the entertainment coordinators (She is a lot of fun). She convinced me to join in the Mr. Sexy Wet Shorts contest. I couldn't believe what I was going to do, but I did it anyway and had a blast. At the beach we wanted to try water-skiing. Beetlejuice and Ryan took us out, but Michelle and I being beginners had no luck. Beetlejuice is a blast. He definitely wants everyone to have a good time. After water-skiing we still had time before the Mr. Sexy Wet Shorts so we went over to the nude side. When we got there they were just about to start nude body painting. Michelle and I joined in and painted each other and then they paraded us around the nude pool. We even got some "HEDO bucks" (Hedonism money that can be redeemed for souvenirs every morning in the main dining room). The Wet Shorts contest was so much fun and everyone especially the spectators had fun. That night we had dinner reservations at Pastafari. The food was excellent and the service was great. The portions of food were generous and we had more than enough to eat. I suggest that you get the pizza appetizer. Reservations fill up fast at Pastafari and Munahana so you your best bet is to make them as soon as you arrive. The theme for that night was Pillow Talk and Bedtime Stories and the dress code was wild and wicked pj's. Michelle and I wore our pj's to the Octopussy disco. The turn out was good and almost everyone who attended was in some sort of nightgown or pj's. They had different prizes and to our surprise we won best couple.

Wednesday, October 11

The sun was out again when we woke up. We had breakfast in the main dining hall and spent most of our morning at the prude beach. Bruce took us out on the Hobie Cat which was very fun because it was very windy and we were able to go out far and fast. After that we snorkeled. Snorkeling was a good time and we got to see some colorful fish, but not that many. We didn't go out that deep and we all had to wear life jackets. The equipment that we received all seemed pretty new and well maintained. After eating lunch we ended up playing in the pool olympics in the main pool. The entertainment coordinators got things going and we all had so fun. Michelle and I spent most of the afternoon at the nude pool swimming and hanging out at the hot tub. The theme for the night was Circus night and naughty beach games. We cancelled our reservations for Munahana and moved them to Friday because the dinner theme was Jamaican food and they set up tables and chairs on the prude beach and served the food there. The food was good and there were lots of different varieties. After dinner they had the circus show. I'm not going to describe it because I don't want to give anything away to those who haven't seen the show. All I can say is that it was amazing and it was some of the best entertainment we've seen in a while. When the show finished Michelle and I were recruited to play in the naughty beach games. They games were fun, but tiring. We collapsed as soon as we went back to our room and ended up taking a nap and when we woke up we went to the nude hot tub. When we got there a lot of action was going on. Two guys were getting it on with the same girl.

Thursday, October 12

It was yet another beautiful day. On the way to breakfast we stopped at the photo center and looked at pictures. During all of the events there is a photographer taking pictures. Michelle and I had so many nice pictures we wanted to get them all. The only problem is that each picture costs $7. We still got carried away and ended up buying $80 worth of pictures. We decided that since this was our best vacation ever we should get the pictures. After breakfast we spent most of the morning catching some rays on the sun deck on the nude side. We also went for a swim in the nude beach. The beach is small, but big enough. We were told that they didn't want to make the beach big because they didn't want everyone to spread out and isolate themselves from other. By the beach being small people would be forced to be closer together and interact. The only problem with the beach is that after going out only a few feet into the water the ground becomes very rocky and sharp. I suggest wearing some sort of water shoes. The temperature of the water was nice and warm. We even saw a couple "having fun" on their raft. After lunch we kayaked and then went on the shopping excursion to Ocho Rios. The van ride there was about 30 minutes and we first went to the duty free shopping center and then to the craft market. The shopping was okay, but nothing special. We were able to get all the souvenirs we needed to bring back home. The craft market was definitely a new experience. Everyone there was trying to sell you something. The important thing is never to accept their first price. You always have to bargain with them. When we got back we rested and got ready for dinner. The theme for the night was Caesar's Rampage and dress code was togas. Most people at dinner were in togas. The rule was no sheet no eat and you weren't allowed to wear any underwear. It would have been more fun if they enforced the no sheet no eat rule. After dinner everyone in a toga paraded around the main dining room and then awards for best togas were given out.

Friday, October 13

This was our last full day at HEDO III. We made sure that we would do as much as we could. Once again it was a beautiful day. We wanted to go out on the Hobie Cat, but there was no wind. Instead we asked Beetlejuice to take as out for a ride. Beetlejuice is really a nice guy. He is only supposed to take people out to water-ski and not for rides. He told us this and that he was only taking us out because he really liked us. Juice took us out pretty far and we got to see the other resorts along the coast. When we got back we hung out at the nude pool and then went to the Wet T-shirt contest. The contest was a lot of fun and there was a lot of participation. We spent the rest of the day swimming in the main pool and also at the nude pool. We ate dinner at Munahana and were very impressed. The food was excellent and our chef, Ashley, was very entertaining. Again, there was more than enough food. The theme for the evening was "Viva" Veganism and Fantasy Masquerade. The dress code for the evening was costumes. Many people showed up to the Octopussy disco and showed off their sexy costumes. Michelle and I were lucky enough to win another prize for sexiest couple. The day went by so fast. We finished the night hanging out at the nude hot tub until 3:00 AM.

Saturday, October 14

Time to go. We said our last good-byes to everyone and took some last minute photos. Both of us felt sad leaving the resort because we had the time of our lives. The bus ride to Montego Bay was uneventful.

Parting thoughts:

Michelle and I thought that this was hands down the most fun we've ever had. Our five nights went by so fast, but we made sure we enjoyed every second. It only rained a combined 10 minutes while we were there. Hedonism III is a beautiful resort. Everything is well maintained and the resort is so clean. The staff was so courteous and helped you out in anyway they could. The resort is just the right size and there is so much to do. The entertainment coordinators worked their butts off to make sure everyone had a good time. I'd like to thank Romeo, Delicious, Mischief, Teddy bear, Sly, Nicole, and Nurse for making every activity so much fun. I suggest that you participate in as many activities as you can. If you are a recluse this is not the place to go, but if you are into meeting great people and making lots of friends and most of all, having fun, Hedonism III is the place to go. We ended up with more than 2 million HEDO bucks from all the games and activities we did. We were able to bring home 9 bottles of rum from our prizes and also by redeeming our HEDO bucks. It is so hard being back at work. I am definitely going through HEDO withdrawal. We wish we were still there. Lastly, we'd like to say hi to Sheila and Steve, Lenny, Jessica and Alex, and Shelley and Daniela. We'll be back!!!
