Desire June 10-16
This was our first trip to Desire so we went
without alot of expectations. The resort was totally awesome. The
food was delicious with lots of variety, never ending drinks, service was
excellent and the staff was friendly, relaxing atmosphere - just set your own
pace and lots of friendly couples. We brought our own snorkel gear so
that we could go whenever we wanted (definitely a good idea) but we also
enjoyed the kayak and hobie-cat. Just watch the coral when you walk out
in the water, not as rocky on the left side of the beach (left when
facing ocean). We only took one outside excursion - the catamaran,
snorkeling, lunch and shopping trip. The snorkeling was really great by
the reef, lots of colorful fish, lunch was excellent (but it is outdoors so
it's hot), and shopping was fun. Definitely a fun extra. Only real
complaint was the disco. It's really hot and the music at first is not
really the good bump and grind but if you'll wait til about midnight then the
crowd thins out and the music is great then. Will we go back? You
bet, we're already talking about another trip. Definitely the best
vacation we've ever been on.
