well my first trip report, but 5 times h3 ,3times now to h2 .we
were there feb 10--19 2014.food is better than last trip (2011) .our
room was beach front has been painted all white and flat screen tv
added. the bathroom was small but we had hot water (bonus) our air
conditioner blew very cold till i figured out how to work it then it was
good.one couple we met were upset because there flatscreen did not work
and had a crack in it they reported it to front desk the girl told them
they would be charged for it.and tried to tell them that those things
were checked when ever a guest checked out .lmfao. ya right.
entertainment was a little long some nights to the point it got
boring.piano bar was the same songs everynight but still was fun .disco
was hit and miss some nights it sucked and the number of people comming
in and leaving after a few minutes makes me think they would agree.
Hot tub pump went so was no hot tub for 3 days and at about the same time a number of rooms in the 1100 block had no water and no air for 4 days. 2 couples we met that had the missfortune of being in the rooms one was given a key to a different room after a couple days so the could shower took all their luggage and moved themselves told front desk they were staying there. the other couple we talked with werent that lucky they were told there are no rooms available to move them later we found out there were 53 unoccupied rooms ,.So they have a long way to go to proove themselves the thing we personally had to complain about was you ask for something and they point and say its there at the servers station .the ketchup in my wifes case she thought that was rude but hey she has worked as manager in a bakery and guess cause she would have put customer satisfaction ahead of all else and number 1 to her is service/ the new rooms we didnt get to see but people who have them made me think im quite happy with our room. having a glass wall separating you when your on the crapper which by the way is what they have at temptations in can cun also ,is not in my comfort zone.the new hot tubs are going in and they do have a number of them .getting back to the rooms that had no water for 4 days it was due to pipes bursting on the roof one room had water running from the mirror on the ceiling so im thinking maybe they shoud be spending money on the infrustructure first as all the guest would have probably been happier with food upgraded,hot water ,aircondition that works./then if they had more to spend start redooing rooms.as for us personally we had a great time as we were with a group of 16 people and the only glitch was being told where the ketchup was in the servers station.servers were also little slow there in dining but im thinking they were short on staff as it seemed to me the last trip there were more servers. all in all expect some bumps as they are trying to fix it up they also shut the bar down at the nude pool to resurface it not complainin bout that ,it needed it and they did open a tempory bar ,the bar service was excellent have absolutly no complaint there. if you are going over the next year or so pack up some patience because you will likely need it. will we go again ?most certainly we do have fun and as long as there rates are 130.00 a night cheaper than desires like they were this year they will be our choice.we went to desires for the first time last feb 2013 and loved it but they are over priced i get 9 nights at hedo for what id only get 7 at desires ,for me 2 more days is worth more than awsome food and 4 or 5 star accomodation .its the people at hedo and the workers there that have kept us returning. if ur having trouble deciding whether to go h2 or desires if food and a fancy room means the world to ya ,probably should spend the extra money and do desires. but if the room is just to shower sleep and have sex and food thats average 3 star food, then dont waiste money on desires go hedo have a blast. if ur goin at valentines we may meet ya .
