Brice & Kristi - November/December, 2012

 11-28 to 12-12-2012

Travel was the normal redeye from LAX, breezed thru MBJ and on the bus in ½ hr. the only problem was waiting for Thad and Maryann’s luggage to show up. (It never did)

Check in was fast, it was great to be greeted by name by Sunshine at the front desk. How do they always remember us? It sure makes you feel special.

We booked GVN but got 2nd floor OVN, must be because were special. J

Room was fine except I couldn’t get the air to turn off; it would just reset itself and start blasting cold air again. We like to have the air off at night and back on during the day, again we must be special. No problem I figured out where the power switch was and just shut it down at night.

Resort grounds were just how we left it last year, well kept for how old it is, the beach was clean and the water sports guys were removing sea urchins on a few of the  days. The pads for the chairs are in bad shape, but you put your towel down on them and you wouldn’t know it.

Bartenders were wonderful as usual; they work hard keeping naked drunk people happy.

EC’s are overworked but did what they could to try and get people involved in the games, some like to play some don’t.

Food was good for us, love the pasta bar.

Night time entertainment was hit and miss; I wish they had more outside entertainment so the EC’s could mingle and dance with the guests more. The dance floor was too small on most nights due to the added tables used to make the stage bigger; I wish they wouldn’t do that.

We only made it to the piano bar 1 night and it wasn’t what we are used to so we left early.

Some of the highlights of the trip

·         The WWW crew is a blast

·         Jell-O shots in syringes are great for body shots

·         Wedding on the point

·         Large flotilla of naked people on rafts encountered on our way back on the nude Cat cruse at the Sandals roped off beach. Where did they come from? We backed the Cat up to rescue them only to be waved off; I guess they didn’t want to be rescued.  One of them went up to the Sandals bar for a drink and wouldn’t leave until he was served; security was not pleased and foiled the plan to go ashore and walk back to the Zoo. Lucky for them a few of the guys had water shoes on and towed them all back home.

Overall we had a great time and can’t wait for next year.

To all our Hedo friends, we love you guys
