James & Stacey - 08/99

James & Stacey’s TRIP REPORT: 19-26 AUG 99

Loved it!! I’ll skip the getting there details. Except for one. We arrived in Mobay @ 8:00 pm so we had to take the bus. Pretty uneventful…or so I thought! Dark outside so we couldn’t see much…didn’t stop along the way. But, we sat right behind the driver and engine box. Let’s just say between the near head-on colission heart attacks, Stacey used her tight shorts and the bus and bumps as the biggest vibrator known to woman! (good start to the trip, I’d say)

Check-in was a breeze, but while waiting for a bell-hop/security person to take us to our room (they insisted), we missed any chance of getting to the Toga party. Oh well! Straight to the hot tub!! James was immediately naked. Stacey sat on the edge in her towel & bikini bottoms. We met a nice couple from OK and before long they had helped to convince Stacey to drop the towel and get in. The bottoms stayed on "most" of the week, until they were eventually held for ransom.

As we looked around the hot tub trying to find some of the people we’d talked to from the visitors list, W&M came over and from here on in the week gets fuzzier and better.

First day to the last was a similar routine. Pool/drinks by day…volleyball/drinks in the afternoon…dinner/hot tub/more drinks @ night. I’ll try and stick to the highlights.

Before we left for Hedo we read a post on Denny’s about someone who fell and broke her foot. Stacey said, "That would be my luck!" Friday evening, our first full day there, walking to the dining room Stacey stepped off the uneven edge of the sidewalk and severely sprained her ankle. Not that Stacey needs a reason to stop and talk to people, but the crutches helped her meet everyone at the resort. The crutches lasted until Mon. night. Thanks W for helping paint the handicapped sign on her ass.

Friday evening we broke out the dice with some of the great friends we met. Thanks to the vets (sorry, I don’t remember names) who helped teach us how to play "right". We finally met C and Sin, another couple from the visitors’ list. (Sorry we didn’t recognize you without the rasta hat!!) Anyway…too many Vinnies (not annoying, just single) ended up wanting to join in so we added a new rule from then on…only couples or even #s of opposite sex singles.

During the days we met a lot of great people, like CD-Rom, Doc, Darell, Joe&Dianne, M&T, Nanci&Dennis (another cpl from Denny’s), Eric "the Hedonism Blues Man", and a whole lot more. Sat. M & R showed up (another cpl from Denny’s) and our "family" rounded out.

Some serious highlights…. Stacey getting drunk, losing her bottoms and her pool and grotto virginity…the awesome multiple show in the grotto (another special round of applause for our foreign friends N & A)….the great show on the nude pool table (glad we could keep the sex police from singling you out again); don’t know who enjoyed that more? The performers or the voyeurs???!!!! All the great volleyball games and those we played with! Basically every moment was a great time, because of all the great people we met.

Definitely take the catamaran cruise!! But be forewarned, if you go on Tues. stop drinking sometime before the PJ party. James got drunk (1st time @ Hedo) on the cruise, & kept getting drunker until around ten. During Battle of the sexes Stacey was named "biggest tits at the resort", thanks for taking her to the stage M. Then, while waiting on Stacey to get ready for the PJ party, James passed out. (Can you believe…take one nap @ Hedo and it just happens to be during the party!) Thanks to all of those that helped Stacey try to "get me up!" Sorry he was as passed out as I. Mistress M, I’m still awaiting punishment. LOL James missed a great party, and he swears it won’t happen next time.

Wed. C and Sin left. L For some reason, that horrid art auction sticks out as one of the most exciting things that day. No wait, there was the excitement over the "lost" roll of film. Thank you dear R, for remembering where it was!!

Thurs. Oh no…we didn’t have to leave until 5 pm, but the desk called @ 5 am to tell us we were missing our bus! (Hey we only slept from 4-7 each night/morning, so that hurts!) Perhaps the nicest thing we saw at Hedo…we attended our friends’ (M&R) wedding vowel renewal. It was a beautiful event with beautiful friends. Thank you for inviting us!!

We made the most of our last day! A great day to catch up on picture taking! One more interlude in the pool! Another sad moon goodbye L …Thanks to R for sharing the FBMs with me and M,R,N,A, and Bluesman for sharing the drambuie shots…and a final walk, clad only in my towel, to the bus. Stacey had to open the suitcase. The resort wanted to keep the towel, but they wouldn’t let James on the bus naked! CYBT!!

The bus ride back! Excellent! We saw a lot, and Tony, one of the employees riding along, explained a lot of Jamaican culture to us. Probably the best thing was stopping @ the lollipop civic center in Sandy Bay. Everyone should ask the driver to stop here. We watched the children dance, took some pictures of them on the pier (they loved seeing themselves on the digital camera…and yes, we’re sending pics back to them via Tony), and watched a beautiful sunset.

As for the staff and guests at Hedo: Outstanding! We’ve read a lot of complaints about slow service, unwanted advances, and other out of place actions. I can’t comment on what other people experienced, but for us, the service was perfect (Delroy, Scumba, Roin, Stephen, Robert, the coordinators, everyone was great.) And as stated over and over on the board, simple "no, thank you’s " worked well in all situations.

A special thanks to Denny for his board and visitor list. Your work is definitely appreciated by us. Again, to all the great people we met (if you’re wondering about initials or why we left some names out…respect), we couldn’t imagine having as great a

time without y’all. To those we’ll see again soon…we can’t wait. To those we may not…hopefully we’ll see you again someday at Hedo. Happy travels….

Irie,

James and Stacey
