authors.This being our first Hedo trip, we did much research throughout the many great Web sites. There was a lot of useful information and we appreciated all of the effort that everyone contributed. The first part of this trip report is my observations and the second is my wife’s.
The bus ride to Hedo was the "bus ride from hell" was exactly as described in many of the previous trip reports. The driver drove like a maniac and it was quite exciting. I didn’t realize that there could be so many pot holes on one road. (it was so bumpy, I couldn’t even drink my red stripe) We finally arrived and had no difficulty checking in around 4 PM. We toured the area and grabbed a bite to eat before the orientation at 7:30 ( Jamaica time) We had to ask if we were in the right place and then they had to go get one of the staff workers to conduct the orientation. Over all it was informative, however, you could afford to miss it and not have any great effect on your stay. After the orientation, we roamed around and finally checked out the hot tub before calling it quits fairly early after a long journey.
The next few days kind of blended in and are hard to remember what happened when. The weather was great (although maybe a little too windy, no complaints though). Temperatures were in the mid to upper 80’s in the day time and lower 70’s at night. Only one day did it rain. Most of the time, we hung out at the nude beach,( having been nudists for several years), relaxed and met some nice and interesting people. The Bubbly Bares were there along with the a Lifestyle group. They were quite entertaining and not aggressive or insist that we join their "activities". We particularly liked their body painting art and other entertainment.
The food was good and there was a wide selection at all of the meals. We enjoyed the jerk chicken and would highly recommend that everyone try the chicken and fish at the pool side snack bar. There was plenty of booze available, although I think maybe it was watered down because I know at least once I should have had a headache the next day and didn’t. It was still good and plenty if you wanted it. I was a little disappointed when I was told twice that they did not have any tomato juice for bloody Mary’s.
The entertainment was overall very good. The toga night and PJ party were the highlights, however, generally the rest of the entertainment was good. They really did have a great Elvis impersonator. The PJ Party was advertised to be in the disco. When we arrived a little after 7 we were surprised to find only a few people inside the disco. I went to the main dinning room and realized that they had moved it there and did not bother to advise anyone. Needless to say, I think the bartenders could have mentioned that it had moved. Oh well, this is the Islands. The PJ’s were really interesting. Fredericks or Victoria Secrets was definitely in style.
The hot tub was the place for late night entertainment. We saw a few "vinnies", "waldos" and what I classified as "strokers". ( you figure it out) We were approached three times in the hot tub to find out if we were interested in swinging. (which we were not, remember we were nudists not swingers) The first guy acknowledged that we were not interested and left us alone. The next guy, a pool attendant, was a little more bolder and direct with what he wanted to do. He did leave us alone after I reassured him that we were not looking for threesome and I suggested that he look some where else to fulfill his sexual fantasies. The final time was interesting when this younger guy approached us in the hot tub and attempted to play with my wife’s leg. She saw him approaching and moved her legs behind mine. After some small talk, he proceeded to grope at my hairy leg. I placed my leg on his chest and "gently" pushed and asked him if this is what he was looking for. He muttered something to the effect, "my god, my god!!" and left.
Overall, I enjoyed our vacation. Hedo is a place where you can do or participate in as little or as much as you want. We heard many derogatory things about Hedo before we left and there is a general reputation that this is a swingers paradise. While it may be true for some, there is no pressure that you have to participate if you don’t want to. Hedo was a relaxing, wild and interesting place that I would go to again.
By the way, the bus ride back to the airport ( since I couldn’t convince her to fly) was not even as bad as the ride there. This driver actually missed a pothole!!!!!
Well I guess its my turn. Can’t add to much to the bus ride you haven’t already heard. Small bus going and large one coming back. Check in was great since it was only 4 people on the bus including us. I didn’t like the upstairs so we moved down with no problem mon. The shows were great at meal times although the wet T-shirt contest, they could have left their T-shirts on more than 1 min. haha The staff were always friendly and helpful and could be seen everywhere on the grounds. Men should definitely check out the trainer in the workout room well women too, just depends!! The days did kind of slide into one another. I probably upset one of the staff because I swear you couldn’t tell HIM from he or she. Names Robin you’ll see if you go. Anyway I called him a her...... oh well. Never made it into the misting pool or the CAVE (it was busy at night) but did enjoy the Cold pool and the Hot tub. The evenings were interesting with all the activities I guess we always missed the ????? parts. It started Late so you either get up and enjoy the Sun or sleep and enjoy the night. Everything is just what you want to do or go or see or be. No pressure or trouble at all, really kind of laid back with not much happening early. Weather was great. Took a long walk on the beach and don’t be surprised if you get asked to purchase just about ANYthing from the locals, As a matter of fact the bus ride there slowed down long enough(coming up on a narrow bridge) for a mob to come to the windows selling their STUFF. Well we didn’t and moved on. I think it was really great go with someone (unless your going for whatever) because their are a LOT of single guys there, just hoping to be with someone or someone’s and they may be a little pushy. Just got to tell them your preference or you may be in over your head for 4 more than . That’s what we overheard the next morning was 8 on 1 but it may have been planned at the hot tub ya never know. The guards overlook a Lot at night. A couple were doing it on the beach on a chair and the guard walked right by as we did!!!! Oh well it was very interesting and we may go back but want to try different places similar before honing in on just 1. Have fun, party, and just relax and enjoy!!!! By the way, there were all different sizes, shapes, ages, nationalities and professions.
