Tony & Linda's Hedonism II Trip Report 2/98

This was our second visit to H2, and surely wont be the last !

We had second thoughts on the bus ride(from hell) and decided to charter the hopper from Mobay to H2 this time around....great choice ! We were wisked from the Air Jamaica flight to our waiting single engine Cessna without delay. Upon seeing the small plane Linda was a bit apprehensive to say the least, but once airborne, it was great ! Seeing the island from 1500 feet is a great experience...not to mention, seeing the busses traveling the winding road to Negril ! The flight lasted 10 minutes ! Upon arrival, everything was in order. It took about 30 minutes to get unpacked, loose the clothes, and find our niche at the pool ! Delroy was very pleased you said hello ! Within minutes, we were sipping "mudslides" and getting into the Jamaican lifestyle. Seems we have come home again. The week went by in a flash, parties, great food, super service, wonderful guests from places such as Germany, France, England, Argentina, and of course, all over the U.S. On an interesting note, H2 has 280 rooms, 250 staff members who always seem to be ready to help in any way. Linda unfortunately was bitten by something(not serious) but required some topical cream from the nurse. At midnight, I visited the first aid station and was pleased to fond a nurse 'on duty' ready to fix her up ! If you haven't visited the first aid room, be advised, they can do anything... We had great plans to 'do' most all activities during the week but ended up just relaxing on the beach, the pool, the hot tub. Oh well, maybe next time !

During the party for the returning guests, the management provided us insight on H3, the NEW water system and air-conditioning systems to eliminate future problems. GOOD NEWS.

The alternative lifestyle folks there were great ! It was kinda nice to see the staff relax a bit when most everyone in the dining area was able to dress as relaxing as wanted.

Once again, another reality check coming home :( But, we have new friends to meet next year, which now seems a long way off !
