Julie - 02/99

My name is Julie, I'm 30 years old, and a single female. When I was checking out Trip Reports b/f I went, I was looking for a single, female's version of Hedo, and could not find one, so this is my version of a single, female at Hedo. By the way, this is my first trip report and my first time to Hedonism. I booked the trip on February 6th to leave on February 14 thru 21st, planning on going alone, but when I told my girlfriend (Aimee) where I was going, she decided to come along (strictly platonic, by the way).

We left from Indianapolis at 6:50 a.m. on a direct flight to MoBay, where we arrived at 10:25 a.m. No problem, mon. I personally like the ride from the airport to the resort - it's a part of being in Jamaica that I would not want to miss. Sort of like foreplay. We were the only two people going to Hedo from the airport, so we had the van to ourselves. The driver was very cool, let us smoke, bought our beers, only attempted to run down a couple people and only had a couple near-crashes .... so far, so good.

We got to the resort around noon and, of course, did not have a room. We left our bags at the desk and hit the nude beach. That's when my excitement begins. I got bit by an ant and had a severe allergic reaction, so I got up to put my clothes on and go get some med's. On the way back to the room I had a feeling that something was in my pants and biting me (which it was - another ant). In the future, I always checked my suit b/f donning it! I had to have the doctor called over to see me (who, by the way, looked about 25 years old) and I had to literally beg him to give me a cortisone shot b/c my body was quickly swelling up, my throat was closing shut, and my chest felt like someone punched me, disoriented, etc. After $110 and a five hour nap, I was back in business, but avoided the sand for most of the trip after that. Visions of big, huge ants with large fangs dripping venom haunted me. (So, those of you who got to enjoy the party on the beach, please let me know how it was .... I watched from afar and that was okay by me.) By the way, if you are allergic to bees ... take a shot on the trip with you .... I was worried the doc wouldn't have the right drugs, my throat would close b/f they could get me to a hospital .... etc., etc. Next time I travel with drugs!

That night after recovering, we went to the main dining room and, as it was Valentine's Day, everyone was decked-out in some really cool duds. One man had nothing on, but a box of chocolates strategically placed. What a great costume! Later we hit the night club and then the hot tub at 3:ish I decided that wasn't such a good idea. I was literally squeezed in between lots of people having some manner of sex, while I was alone .... decided a "midnight" snack in the future would be more satiating.

We spent the whole week drinking and smoking at the nude pool, except one afternoon on the prude side, just to check it out. After that afternoon, we really appreciated that nude side even more. Every one that we met at the nude pool was great (except the old guy with VERY large balls and a very big camera) ... lots of very nice, fun people. Went skiing one afternoon, and really enjoyed that. They drop you off on the beach while you wait your turn to ski, and you can go to a "hut" and get a Red Stripe, excellent food, smoke ... it gives you a flavor of what Jamaica is really like.

We went to the disco every night (well, I did - Aimee spent several nights either passed out or on a date) - she was much luckier than I. I was holding out for filet mignon - but, unfortunately did not find it until the last night at 2:00 a.m., and by that time was too tired to devour it ... go figure. My roomie missed most meals (slept through breakfast, passed out during dinner) so we invariably wanted something to eat every night at around 3:ish (and, of course, to satiate my desires, since I needed to avoid the hot tub). In order to eat at that hour, you have to go to the front desk and request a sandwich, which is a cold meat sandwich wrapped in celophane .... I got to love those damn sandwiches. By the third day, I was asking for a loaf of bread and a pound of meat (still hadn't found my filet mignon and was VERY hungry!)

On toga night I actually took the sheet they provided and got it around my body in a sort of fashionable manner. It stayed on me the entire night .... hmmm, guess I was too good at the toga thing ... next time, I'll tie a few less knots. On pj night, I brought my favorite pj's and won 3rd place in the bondage category. That was fun! The entertainment in the evenings was always great ... I was especially impressed with the dildo brought on-stage - that was quite funny - after my first night at the hot tub, I was very tempted to look up that female and (since she had two) ask if I could buy it from her.

The second day at Hedo was the Catamaran cruise, which I desparately wanted to go on, but I lost the room key, which also had the safe key on it (where my purse and money was located), and by the time we got the goods out, the cruise was long gone. I also lost my Dunkin' Donuts cup, which was my trademark, and which also kept my drinks nice and cold. I felt "naked" without it ...

The vinnies were not nearly as bad as I thought they'd be. Some advice to all the single guys at Hedo ... if you'd bring your personalities with you, you might get lucky. There were some very nice guys there, but w/o a little conversation, I just couldn't take the plunge. Mostly hung out with the couples, who were all wonderful, they took me under their wing and entertained me all week. I did go to the prude hot tub one night, and if you're alone, that's much more "comfortable". The people there were just hanging out and talking. I did enjoy that a lot.

Our room was on the nude side, gardenview - which I will never do again. We could actually see the prude pool from our room .... way too far from the nude side ... got much more exercise than I really wanted! Go Oceanview! The first day in the room, our air conditioning did not work, but after that, the room was actually cold in the evenings. The water pressure was great, but keeping the temperature stable was impossible - quite refreshing at times!

The last night I met a great looking guy with a personality (my filet mignon) and we hung out on a hammock and watched the sky ... very romantic ... went back to the room at about 5:00 a.m. ... and, I had to leave in an hour, what a bummer!

We took the van back to the airport and had a three hour wait b/f our flight left, which turned into 4 b/c our flight was an hour late - that gave me time to do my souvenir shopping, as I did not do anything strenuous while at Hedo. The flight home was great ... I was asleep b/f we left the ground and slept the whole way b/c we did not make it to bed the night b/f ... tried to make Hedo last as long as possible.

I fell in love with Lewis and most of the other Jamaican men there ... what bodies! And personalities! I love Jamaica, mon! We spent the whole week laughing and enjoying the scenery. I am going back to Hedo on April 17th for a week .... so if anyone is going to be there during that time, feel free to e-mail me!

I will close with a hello to all of the great people I met at Hedo ... I'm sure you know who you are. I especially clicked with Claudea and Art ... you two were my "guardians" .... hope we can hook up some time ...
