Jon & Mary Jo 01/99

Denny, our trip to Heavenism II was to say the least most pleasureable. This being our 8th visit, we monitored your "board" so that we too, could live vicariously through the experiences of everyone there.

We met so many nice people this trip. Some of whom we met via your "board"! Hello to the following, Jason, Steve,Francis, Mo & Jack, Linda & Ralph, Julie & Rich, John to name a few. There were many more, I just can't remember their names, guess the rum had set in by then. We also renewed old acquaintences, hello to Beth & Terry, Cindy & Lou, Paul & Lorraine, Chuck & Hendrika (had fun in the piano bar!)-------

I will say, that our fun started the minute we got on the bus at Mo Bay! I love the bus ride from hell, as others have called it! We got a driver named Percy, who took nearly four count them 4 hours to get to the resort! He took detour after short cut to show us the "sights" trying to drum up more "tips, mon". We drove through Lucie, where there is a church with a German helmet on the top, that got somehow re-routed to Lucie, instead of somewhere else with the same name, and he had to tell us the story, that by the time it was found out, this mistaken identity of townships, that the German government said forget it and keep the darned thing!!!!! Well, don't you know there was another place that somehow he knew about, that was sort of off the beaten path, down in town, that we could get our beloved "red stripe", and we didn't care any longer. We rode in on the bus, I love to look at the scenery, and the shoreline, which I think is very beautiful. It never ceases to amaze me that the people of Jamaica live in such beauty, and yet are so very poor, monitarily. They are the wealthiest of all, for they live in God's creation of beauty. The first time we visited Hedonism II, the first thought that came to my mind, was the Bible Story Books we all used to have as children, that showed pictures of the Garden of Eden..... you know the big blue books, with the pictures on the outside of it!!! There were people walking across what is now the group of buildings that is behind the courtyard, just as you come through the dining room heading to H-block! They had on bathing suits, but I could just imagine them in the "garden" without anything but those fig leaves! What a glorious place.

There wasn't too much going on this trip, that we really felt the need to participate in, however, we did have fun the second Tuesday we were there, with the PJ nite, we won best couple, and got a bottle of "TIA", my favorite! Toga nite, the first week, was on Wednesday, since New Years was Thursday! I thought it would have been great to have a "Toga-New Year's Party" aparently no one else did! Wednesday nite was lame, to say the most! No one was in their No sheet No eat No bull-----! It seemed like such a waste of our tyeing ability to go to the trouble to put on a sheet! We did it anyway, and were ushered to the very back of the dining room up by the front entrance area. Like I said before, hardly anyone was there in a sheet, so we felt very out of place, it was like no one read the schedule!!!!! Dinner was GREAT! The following Thursday nite was so much fun! Everyone dressed in Toga's and had a real par--tay!!!

We were on the beach bright any early every day, I am particularily fond of sunrises, and sunsets. So we beach-combed early A.M.'s.Then enjoyed Chuck & Hendrika's music by the old Delroys 'till after the sun went down! Of course, there was loads of fun, painting rocks, painting chests, & buns during the daytime! Jason, Steve & Francis where were you for this activity, you would have been perfect canvases!!!Ha!Ha!Ha! The games on the nude side after body painting were fun! I particularily got a kick out of the young woman who had to find her husband, by touching everyone's penis! She got it right, she said,"after all we've been together for 7 years"!

We had dinner at Pastafarri's a couple of times, and both times was superb! The wait staff is always so nice there! They are trining new people, I'm sure so they can split later for Hedo III! One time we had dinner at the invitation of Jason & friends, he had lined up a bunch of us, and we had a heck of a table full of folks, who got to be better acquainted via that one meal! Thanks Jason, you really were a super host! How's that sunburn,by the way? Katamaran Cruise was really fun for the guys that went, they came back baked, broiled, and otherwise cooked from the hot Caribbean sun!! It is very deceiving!

There is always a sense of sadness that falls over me each time I go to Jamaica, it's called DIF, it is the realization that in a few short days, I will be home again, trying to live vicariously through that message board, longing to be in Jamaica agian! It happened again, this time, it didn't set in 'till the day before we left, which was a really pleasant surprise! There was too much to do......

We took the Parasail high above the resort, for those of you who want to do this may I highly recommend it! For the past seven visits, I have told Jon (my husband)that I really would like to do that: well, I have always made excuses in the past, this time, I told him to just check on it and set it up, and let me know when it was time to go up! He did just that, and on one Sunday afternoon, he came back to the nude beach, and said it was paid for ($40.00/U.S.) for the tandem ride! It was better than I thought it would be, not really a scary ride. I've been on rides at Six Flags, that scared me more! The vista is absolutely the most fantastic! You can see for miles! Breathtaking!!!!! Just pull a NIke.....just do it!

The ride back to the airport was uneventful. The previous one we had a flat tire on the bus, and had to wait for the driver to change it! No such luck this time, the bus was loaded full and running over! The poor girls who sat in the very back behind us kept having the luggage fall down on top of them! They were asleep anyway, and didn't really care!

You know it is good luck to have a full moon from "moon hill" as you leave! Well, we feel very fortunate, We had two full moons, and a half, plus a little sunshine to go on!

Thanks to all the staff, Louis, Mark, Tamara, Mark in the dining room, for a very nice stay this time. We will be home soon, mon. Respect

Note: if I have forgotten anyone, please excuse me, it is now two weeks past homecoming, and I have gotten back into my old rut of work, work, work, work, work....well you get the picture! If any one would like to e mail and visit, please feel free, I check my mail all the time! Mary Jo & Jon "hedonuts"
