Hedonism February 11-15, 1999

I’m so happy that I finally get to write my trip report! I’ll start by saying that this was definitely the BEST vacation I have ever had! It was my and Bobs first time to Jamaica, first time to Hedo, first time being naked in public! Lots of firsts!

OK…we were going for Valentines Day, so for my Valentines present to Bob, I upgraded our Air Jamaica tickets to 1st class…great surprise for him on the way to the airport on a very cold, early New York Thursday morning! Our flight down was fun and thankfully uneventful. We wanted as much "Hedo" time as humanly possible so we decided to fly from MoBay to Negril. We took Air Jamaica Express. No problem monh…we even got on a flight one hour earlier than we were supposed to be on, which in Jamaica time was the flight we were supposed to be on! We arrived in Negril and were immediately picked up by the Hedo bus for the long drive to the resort J . Now keep in mind, I’m expecting naked people EVERYWHERE…well I mean, I knew that the people checking us in wouldn’t be naked! You know what I mean.

Check in was a breeze…room 2119 here we come. Perfect..ocean view (nude of course!), first floor so there would be no trouble stumbling back to the room! The rooms are fine…CD player, shampoo and lotion in the bathroom and a hair dryer that actually blows harder than a kitten with asthma! Shower pressure was great…we did however encounter the scalding hot to icy cold water changes…big deal!

Now reality sets in. Bob wants to go to the pool. AHHHHHHHH. Naked???? Sure, I’m all talk when I’m sitting in my nice apartment in New York, but get me there and it’s a whole different story! After 3, yes 3 walk ups and walk aways to the nude pool I take the plunge..literally. The plan was I’d strip and jump in the closest body of water! This is the hot tub of course….picture it being about a million degrees out and I’m up to my chin in a hot tub that was at 110 degrees! Bob is having no trouble at all being naked…he’s loving it! It’s one of the many guy genes I don’t posses! I finally concede that it is ridiculous to be in this boiling water when there was a great pool in pretty much arms distance and THE BAR!

After that first walk over to the pool naked, there was no stopping me! I love being naked! Who invented clothes anyway!

The fun began then and NEVER stopped. Our first night there was toga night. We had brought some stuff with us to accessorize, and after we had our togas on it was a good thing because those gold and red ropes were the MOST material in any one spot! It was crazy…a conga line around the restaurant with people dancing and singing and screaming and partying…out of control!

At this point we had met some of our internet friends…hi Ginger and Tony ***(their names are changed per the 3am agreement!), hi Jim!!!! Off to the disco…dance more and more and more…off to the hot tub and off with the clothes, then some after partying in the room…yahoooooooo! And this is only our FIRST night????

Well, we didn’t get to bed until around 6:30am, so we didn’t get up until noon. Did you know that when in Jamaica, partying begins the second you open your eyes? No really it does….something in the water I believe! We lounged that day in the pool, by the pool, by the bar, by the grill…lots of lounging…always with a rum punch in hand. Tony** kept bringing me drinks ‘cause I guess I bragged I could keep up…WRONG!

We finally met Frank & Tiffany…long time internet friends. They sauntered on over in the hot tub and said "hey there…we’re looking for Bob and Danielle"…just a bizarre memory of us all there naked, and drinking and meeting people.

Frank & Tiffany were great! We had a wonderful time with them. We hung out with them for the most part, and we all made friends together. I wonder if we’ll ever see our "he definitely has tendencies" Israeli friend again! Did he get his picture??? Or what about Klaaaauuuuuussss"!

And so it went…lots of excessive everything! The ONLY down point of the whole vacation was the moron in the hot tub that ruined everyone’s time with the fight. I was scared out of my mind…but no need to even discuss it in this trip report except to say that I’ve written to SuperClubs concerning the event. I wont say that it ruined our whole time there…it ruined an absolutely PERFECT time though.

We did manage to make it into town one day to pick up some souvenirs…by the way, all the shops will write Jamaican Cigar receipts for your Cubans! That was about our only non-lounging, no drinking, dressed activity.

Hedo has a great check out deal…Air Jamaica checks you in at the resort so there is nothing to do once you get to MoBay and you can sip rum punches while getting your boarding passes!

I am currently on a mission to go back for the Memorial Day holiday, which also happens to be my birthday weekend! I think that just maybe I’ll be able to twist Bobs arm!!!!

Well, that’s about it for the best, most romantic, most wonderful vacation I’ve ever had!
