Monday

Went through Jamaican Customs and then on to the SuperClubs desk. After a 10 minute wait for our bus ride to Hedo, we got our first look at Jamaica. We were the only two passengers on the bus. On the way we saw thousands of beautiful children in uniforms making their way to school. With so many pedestrians at the edge of the road, we hoped the ride would be uneventful and it was. After a slight detour into the Grand Lido because the driver thought we were too quiet to be going to Hedo, we were checking in by 8:30 a.m. We were told to come back around noon and they would have a room ready for us. We had breakfast, changed into our swimsuits, and made for the nude beach. We got a couple of towels at the dive shack and once past the Nude Beach sign decided that this was it. The we both dropped our suits and found a couple of lounge chairs half way between the bar and massage shack. After the first 15 minutes we both felt comfortable enough to get some liquid refreshments and to try the floats. We both felt feelings of total Nirvana. At noon we checked back at the front desk and got the nude ocean view room we had requested. The room was located between the dive shack and the nude volleyball court. After unpacking, we went to lunch and watched the wet T-shirt contest. Then we went back to the nude beach and the pool. The pool that day was being refilled so we couldn't use it. We met some of the people we contacted on Denny's internet visitor page. Before dinner we went to an orientation given by Paul, one of the many energetic entertainment co-ordinators. Take note of what is said, it can pay off later! Then on to dinner, Reggae party at the beach, and then to the nude hot tub until 2:00 a.m. and then bed.

Tuesday

We had breakfast around 9 a.m. We hung out by the nude beach, nude pool until 2 p.m. Then we took a snorkel boat trip, went back to the nude pool where we saw our first PDA by the hot tub. That night we at dinner we saw the Battle of the Sexes dinner show and later in our p.j.s went to the Pajama Party. We were considered conservative in our attire. We saw some wild and very nice outfits. After the awards were given we headed to the hot tub, where we finished every evening of our vacation.

Wednesday

Slept in until 10:30, nude beach lunch, and lunchtime spin. After lunch we lounged by the nude pool and tried nude body painting. We won for Best Floral and received our first Hedo Bucks. Our first major thunder shower happened so we went to our room for a "nap". We got a snack from the prude beach grill and later went to dinner. After dinner it was Casino Night where you are given $400 in chips and try to increase the amount by playing playing blackjack and roulette. We lost our chips just like in Vegas and were unable to bid on prizes. We went on to Veronicas and then the hot tub.

Thursday

Breakfast, nude beach , Sunfish sailing, nude beach, toga tying demonstration (which Devery was selected for). For those worried on how to tie on, this is a must to go to. Ladies, a chain link belt is helpful to finish off a simple toga. Went back to the nude pool and experienced the wonderful jerk chicken. That night at dinner we saw the Amatuer/Staff talent show where we saw a very drunk Vinnie type who tried inappropriate advances on a Jamaican dancer who was teaching other people to follow her very active dance moves. Then on to the Toga party and the hot tub.

Friday

Breakfast, Parasailing (wonderful first time experience), Hobie sailing, lunch, and shopping in town. Rented bus to take the two of us into town for 3 hours for $30. We had a very pleasant bus driver. Thunderstorm again while shopping, nude pool, jerk chicken, dinner, and circus show. Beach games where we took part and won more Hedo Bucks. We tried the disco but found it too loud with techno-Reggae. Again we choose to go to Veronicas' and ending the night with the hot tub.

Saturday

Breakfast, sailboat cruise to snorkel site and then to the Pickled Parrot for cliff jumping and rope swing jumping. Heavy thunderstorm storm while docking back at Hedo. Went to lunch where they held a Hedo Trivia Contest where you can use all these facts about Hedo you learned in orientation. We won enough Hedo Bucks to get 2 bottles of rum and a Hedo Blues tape. Nap, nude pool, jerk chicken, Pastafari's for dinner (a nice change from main dining area.) After dinner, entertainment, Veronicas', and hot tub.

Sunday

At breakfast is your chance to trade Hedo Bucks into merchandise on the stage of the main dining room. That day we hung out at the nude beach, nude pool, had jerk chicken, Pastafari's for dinner, Cabaret Show, Veronicas', and the hot tub.

Monday

Breakfast, nude beach, 10 a.m. Air Jamaica check in at the dining area. You can pay your departure taxes, entry documents, and check your luggage to the airport. We went back to the nude beach and pool until 3:45 p.m. When we left the resort, took transportation to the Negril Airstrip across the street from Hedo. We flew with TimAir to MoBay. We had a pleasant pilot and smooth flight but did have a 1/2 hour delay. We flew in a small Cessna for a 20 minute flight to MoBay. Took a taxi to the main terminal and waited for our Air Jamaica flight which was delayed 1/2 hour. Six hour flight to LAX. Quick trip through Customs, shuttle bus to our car and 1 and 1/2 hours later at 12:30 a.m. we were back home.

Conclusions

We didn't encounter any large groups which made for a relaxed first trip. No whistles or yelling about people not being nude made for an enjoyable first experience. Would recommend this week of the year for first timers.

Next trip we will get more involved in the activities, lunchtime spins, games, take a trip to YS Falls, more snorkelling, and try scuba diving. Eat more often at Pastafari's, eat more jerk chicken from Robert's Grill.

Wish list: Newer sailboats, varied music in disco (open earlier in evening) with some softer, slower music we can slow dance to.

It was the most fun and relaxing vacation we've ever had. We met the nicest people,Clark and Sam, Art, Jerry and Laurie, Dan and Pat,Rick and Gail,Brian and Linda. All the staff was excellent, Paul, Mark. Robin, Shaka, Tamara, Delroy and our maid Charlene. Will we go back? Yes! Yes! Yes! Irie, Devery and Chuck
