Vince & Princess - 09/98

Adventure in Paradise Monday 98-09-14 to Monday 98-09-21.

The princess and I arrived at the Philadelphia airport for our 3.5 hour flight to MoBay with all the anticipation that had been building for the past 3 months. -- our flight was delayed as usual -- but the long flight gave me the opportunity to catch up on some much needed sleep due to some last minute emergencies at work that left me with 3 hours sleep before our flight.

The arrival at MoBay was uneventful and we met a nice young couple that we shared a shuttle flight to negril airport with. I highly recommend the shuttle flight to Negril over the bus ride that we decided to take on our return flight with the thought of winding down from all the fun before our flight to Philadelphia -- what a JOKE.

Problems encountered -- We paid for an ocean view room but got a garden view -- The first full day we were at Hedo - the princess took a very nasty spill coming out of the bathroom into the bedroom area on the very slippery wet tile -- hurting her backside and thumping her head on the floor. This caused her to be very sore during the remainder of our adventure and is still getting over it as of this writing. Words of wisdom -- be very careful -- use the mats as walkways to and from the bathroom. The sun is very intense -- the princess who never burns - received a very nasty sunburn on her breasts -- adding to her discomfort. Filming by the English crew and the club 55 (from Washington DC) black nude contest was a bit distracting and took something away from the overall fun of the vacation. The rooms were uneventful. The food was acceptable. The sit-down restaurant, Pastrasffini's was unimpressive. But most don't go to HEDO for those reasons.

On to the good stuff -- The princess spent most of her daytime activity on nude beach relaxing (it's what he likes to do most).

I learned to sail a sunfish and Hobie Cat -- (it was a big deal for me -- I loved it).

Took a kayak out. Paddled my ass all over the place.

We both went on the nude catamaran cruise -- (loved it). I swan over to the pickled parrot -- used the rope swing -- dove into the water from the rope swing area -- (I recommend this over diving off the cliff area) had a great time. Went snorkeling -- saw a lot of life in the water (more fish that I expected) -- (thought it was great) -- the crew and people we went with on the cruise were fantastic. Totally enjoyed ourselves on the cruise. If you go -- the cost is 40 - us per person --Well worth it -- also get the VIDEO another 35 -- I've watched it a few times since we've returned and relive the adventure in my mind. Makes me want to return to the island now!!!!!

Danced after dinner -- as much as the princess sore back could take.

Enjoyed the Nude beach and pool area. Most folks were friendly and a pleasure to meet. I remember commenting that we go to a bar or something and no one is as friendly as people are when they're nude at Hedo.

Hot tub -- this helped take some of the soreness away from the princess -- There was the reported sexual activity in the tub and it was not just during the late evening hours. We witnessed a couple exchanging oral pleasures on each other in the middle of the afternoon. We also witnessed a young lady giving oral pleasure to two different men in the middle of the afternoon. It was there but we just ignored it. No one seemed to mind although there were a few gawrkers. The staff could have been a little better in policing the area and keeping the clothed people out of the area -- but again it was not a big deal.

We participated in the games, when the princess back allowed -- won some Hedo bucks -- it was a lot of fun.

Missed the PJ party -- Had a great time at the Toga party.

Drank more than usual --

Staff -- Delroy was nice -- Jack at the main bar was better. -- SHA-CA (hope the spelling is close) it was her first week as an employee and she was very eager to please and helped make our adventure a great one. The dining room staff as great. The men who worked the sail boats deserve an extra note. They took the princess and I out on the larger hobie Cat and got the thing moving. The princess and I were standing straight up and down as the boat ran on one rudder giving us both a thrill. Thanks to the entire staff for making our vacation a lot of fun.

DID WE GET TO DO ALL WE PLANNED???? NO -- I think we expected too much ---- I also believe you have to pace yourself -- Friday and Saturday we were burned out --- Friday we spent most of the day in bed and had to drag ourselves out to dinner and the beach party that we quickly left and returned to bed -- Saturday was a relaxed do nothing day.

What will we do next time that we didn't get to do this time???? Rent a ski-do, Parasail, ride the banana float, go to the PJ party, go to Veronica's, go to the DISCO (well maybe not), have too too too much fun -- because it still isn't enough.

How does it compare to COUPLES -- Ocho Rios? - (we were there Feb. 98). Definitely more fun and entertainment than Couples. Couples was more romantic, if you are interested in spending most of your time with your significant other and not meeting other people. COUPLES accommodations were much better. Couples all inclusive was better as far as meals, rooms, extras such as no charge trip to DUNN's River Falls, no charge for the Catamaran cruise, or glass bottom boats. Couples would be a great place to go right after HEDO to unwind and rest after a HEDO vacation. But COUPLES doesn't offer the HEDO experience and was more expensive.

Will we return??? You bet we will. But will probably enjoy HEDO III more according to what we're heard about the improved accommodations.

We want to thank all the people we met at HEDO who helped make our vacation a great one. We regret that we didn't get to spend more time with others -- but there may be another time when we can get together......

This is my opinion of our HEDO adventure. If you want to comment please do so......
