Harold & Kathy - 10/29/98 - 11/5/98

Thursday, October 29th: We will spare you all of the boring travel details from Dallas to Miami to MoBay. We arrived in MoBay at around 12:30 p.m. and after an uneventful clearing of customs, we boarded the bus for the "Bus Trip From Hell". After all we had read about this bus ride, we found it to be not really that bad. Riding on the left side of the road, passing on curves, passing people (especially kids) walking on the side of the road and driving too fast was a little startling at first, but all in all, it wasn't that bad. The other passengers on our bus were a little quiet at first, but we soon started talking and got everyone's name and, after the beer stop, it picked up a little more. Check-in was relatively painless and we got the room that we had requested, a prude ocean view. We had tried to change to a nude ocean view, but the resort was full. This caused no problems whatsoever, in fact we plan to request a room in the same building next year. It was very easy to get to the dining room and main areas from our room. We had already decided, from reading Denny's message board, that the fun was on the nude beach and, if we were going to "get nekkid", we should do it the first day. We had a drink or two to loosen up, then off we headed to the nude beach. This was our first experience at "gettin nekkid" in public. Harold had no problem at all, but I was a little apprehensive, well maybe a lot apprehensive. As we passed the "Nude Beach, No Photography" sign, I started to feel a little panicked. In fact, turning and running entered my mind. Harold easily removed his swim trunks and encouraged me to "come on", but I told him to wait, wait, wait! I slowly started removing my bikini when a naked man walked by and that kind of broke the ice. We walked about 20 feet, stark naked, when I said "I've got to sit down for a minute"....I was really feeling panicked. Just then Tamara (one of the entertainment coordinators) and a naked man walked up and chatted with us. She was so casual about the nudity, that it made me feel more comfortable. So, we just stood up and headed toward Delroy's. We'd been tanning at a tanning booth and had no tan lines, so we looked like we fit right in, although I was still quaking inside. Most of that day, we were still slightly uncomfortable with our nudity, but eventually we became relatively comfortable with it. No one at the beach made us feel uncomfortable, it was just within ourselves. In fact, everyone was very friendly and nudity was never an issue. With our first dip into the pool, we did get surprised by seeing a public display of affection (B.J.) in the cold jacuzzi that afternoon. We had made T-shirts that said Hedonism II on them and we met a couple at the pool, Tom & Sheryl, who had noticed our shirts at the airport. Knowing we had the toga party later on that night, we went to our room and took a nap. We had made our togas at home, so we were prepared. At the toga party we met the "Golden Nuggets" and had dinner with them. They, particularly Tom and Sheila, made us feel very welcome and invited us to their table. After the toga party and dancing in the "conga line", we went to the disco in our togas at 11:00. The music in the disco was great almost every night from about 11:00 to 1:00 a.m. After that, we'd usually hit the hot tub, which we did this night. It was really too hot to sit in for very long, but we still didn't get back to our room until about 4:00 a.m.

Friday - October 30th: Because of Hurricane Mitch, it rained off and on most of the day. We had breakfast with Sheryl & Tom, then Harold and I walked around to view the grounds. We played shuffleboard and Harold beat me 3 out of 3! I'm sure he must have cheated!!! We had lunch and then headed to the nude beach and nude pool. (Didn't take us long to get into that routine, did it?) We met Kathy and George, whom we had already "talked to" by E-mail before we went to Hedo. We also met Nikki and Craig & Jamie (also from the Dallas area). It started raining again, so we went back to our room for a "nap". The beach party was rained out that night and moved indoors. We slept through most of the beach party, but went to the disco that night and saw two females enjoying each other and their "toy". We then went to the hot tub. The same two females were there and their activity at the hot tub that night was offensive to me. I've never considered sex a spectator sport. However, most of the people there didn't seem to be too shocked and neither was Harold.

Saturday - October 31st (Halloween!): We got up (not too early) and had breakfast. We then (guess what) went to the nude beach with our rafts. After floating on the water and getting some sun, we met Don and Dianne from Canada, whom we had also met on the internet and talked to by E-mail. We spent more time in the pool and went to take another "nap". Harold sure likes his naps!!! After dinner, we dressed in our Halloween costumes, which were the skimpiest costumes either of us had ever worn in public (Devils). We spent time at the party with Don & Dianne, David & Frances (from Scotland) and some of the Golden Nuggets. We then went to the disco. That's the first time either of us had ever danced in public in our underwear. We hit the hot tub again that night, but didn't stay very long, as we were both tired.

Sunday - November 1st (Hedo's 17th Anniversary): Again, got up late, had breakfast, went to the nude beach and "hung out" with Don & Diane and David & Frances. It's amazing how close you can become, in such a short time, with people you've never met before. But, I guess if you can hang out with them "nekkid", you can certainly become friends! You now have nothing to hide. LOL!!!! We went to the Miss Hedonism II contest this night. It was very well done. But the hot tub was calling our names, so off we went. Tonight's "activities" were out beside the hot tub, and were more "involved", so to speak. I am not watching, and this part of the experience is beginning to wear on me. You already know my view of sex in public.

Monday - November 2nd: We got up, had breakfast and made some videos of the grounds and the Entertainment Coordinators. We hurried to the nude beach to spend time with our new found friends: Don, Dianne, David & Frances. We have made plans to all have dinner together at Pastafari's tonight. We also met another couple, Bob & Linda from New York that we had exchanged E-mails with prior to our trip. Again, it is amazing how quickly you can make friends with people at Hedo! After a wonderful dinner at Pastafari's, we head to Veronica's. The karioki is somewhat TERRIBLE. We go to the disco, dance a little, and head to the hot tub. Tonight is more relaxed. It seems most of the Halloween & Anniversary crowd have left. A new group of people are now beginning to appear at Hedo.

Tuesday - November 3rd: After breakfast, we hurry to the nude beach. Today is David & Frances's last day. They are sad. We are sad for them. We begin to realize we only have one more day at Hedo ourselves. We spend time together on the beach. It is windy, so we just relax and talk. Dan & Bonnie arrive. We also "met" them on the Internet and E-mailed prior to our trip. We all become "instant friends". We are very jealous as they are staying 18 days! We have one more; they have 17 more. :-( :-( This is PJ party night, Harold's favorite. We get into our even skimpier outfits and head to the disco. Don, Dianne, Dan & Bonnie meet us there. I begin to feel half way comfortable, even though this is the first time I have ever danced in public in only bra & T-back panties. It seems strange, but somewhat erotic. The hot tub was tame tonight and I was glad. It was very hot and was most of the time we were there.

Wednesday - November 4th: OUR LAST DAY! :-( :-( It is very windy today. We have breakfast with Tom & Sheryl. We head to the nude beach & pool to spend our last day with new found friends. It is fun, but sad. We must go home tomorrow. "Back to life; Back to reality!" I finally get "body-painted" today. It was nice. Dianne painted Don at the same time. We feel like we have all known each other for years! We crashed the Repeater's Party this night. By this point, we feel like repeaters! We hit the hot tub one more time, but it is just not the same when you know you have to leave the next morning.

Thursday - November 5th: We must leave this morning. Don, Dianne, Dan & Bonnie joined us in the dining room for our "last hours". We will miss them all.

Our Overall View: The resort entertainment coordinators are exceptional; especially Tamara, Shaka, Suzette, Mark, Conroy & Tavis. The grounds are very well maintained. The rooms are comfortable, although they could stand a little more air conditioning and a little more water pressure. The drinks are marvelous. They do not spare the alcohol. The food is good, but not sensational. The nude beach is rocky, but nice. The people you meet are exceptional. They are very friendly and very easy to get to know. We felt right at home. We are not swingers, but we were "hit on" a couple of times, but a simple "No thank you" is all it takes. No one got offended.

Harold's Point Of View: It was the best vacation I ever had. I can't wait to go back next year at this same time. I love Hedonism II. I love Halloween! I found it very "erotic, exciting & titillating" for Kathy & I to be on the nude beach, in the nude pool & nude hot tub daily. I loved relaxing and not having a care in the world. I loved meeting new friends with our same interest/taste. My main job between now and October 1999 is to talk Kathy into staying longer than 7 nights!
