GLB May 20 – 24th, 2005
Prior to arriving at Braco we didn’t have to go through the airport security, wait for luggage etc., since we were coming from 10 nights that were spent at H3.
Braco is beyond belief incredible. The staff catering to your every need. The guests on the nude side so friendly and warm truly made our vacation at Braco. Immediately upon entering the nude side we were greeted by Snoop and Bonnie who had split their trip between H2, H3 and Braco we had already vacationed with them at H3 and it was great just to continue the party and the fun.
Thia our first night she was in the clubhouse with her husband “Guido” music cranked up and dancing in the nude. So respectful came up to us and wanted to make sure that the music was not too loud for us. All is good and dance away. We were trying our first taste of the grilled lamb chops that are to die for marinated in balsamic vinegar and grilled yum.
The layout of the nude side is much better then either of the Hedos. The nude side is truly nude and there is no one allowed at the nude side that is not nude. The bartenders and EC’s at the nude side were a lot of fun. You never had to wait for a drink even if you were laying down on a chair a bartender would come up and take your drink order after the first drink they knew what you wanted and within 30 minutes or less depending on how much you wanted to drink another drink was in your hand. If you looked too hot they sprayed you with cool rose water to help to keep you refreshed.
No problems when a volleyball game is going on since the pool is so large there is a room for the volleyball net without anyone getting hit it in the head. The days were pretty laid back with everyone just mingling getting to know each, playing volleyball etc and the evenings the hot tubs on the nude side were no different then from either of the Hedos except there are two.
Braco is truly a five star resort. You get room service, and turndown bed service. A resort with all of the wonderful Victorian/Caribbean architecture and flavour including an exquisite French restaurant Piacere with balcony in the original Great House of the former plantation in which the resort has been built.
The nude side used to be a separate resort, which is now incorporated as part of Braco, but it still remains an exclusive and separate reprieve from the prude side with all of the five star amenities including rooms, suites, and apartments (with a kitchenette) overlooking the nude side and the nude beach.
Many in the past have said that the Hedos are going “over the top”. Braco is a great place for those who can book a group or arrange for a group of friends to take over the nude side and one can have a Hedo experience. Mind you, you don’t have to book a huge group or take over the nude side to have a Hedo experience. (There are though no PDA’s during the day unlike the Hedos.) This includes the large secluded hot tub without feeling that they are in a North American sex club in which the Hedos seem to be turning into. By this, we do not mean that you can’t have Hedo fun, but not to the extreme (in your face) that the Hedos seem now to be catering. For those who feel that Braco staff may not cater “to the wild side” it should be remembered that Lifestyles have on many a time booked the whole Braco nude side for their events.
The nude side is as if you were at your own nude resort. A great place to go with a likeminded group and takeover/ book the nude-side rooms (as said, some rooms are huge!). Only two people are allowed to book each room. For the golfers Braco has its own golf course.
When it rained huge umbrellas were brought to your room. We ate one night at Piacere the meal was incredible, we went out to the balcony to have a cigarette (they brought ashtrays out) and immediately the waiter asked if we would like to have our dessert and coffee on the balcony before we could say yes, a tablecloth was placed on the table and it was immediately set for dessert. We thoroughly enjoyed Double Orange and French Vanilla crème Brulee with sautéed Bananas garnished with roasted Almond Tuille. We will definitely be back and probably back a lot sooner to Braco then to either of the Hedos.
